WinXP audio customization

How come in my advanced Volume Control properties in winXP I can't turn the treble / bass all the way up ><

they've always been stuck all the way on low and then greyed out, but now it's annoying and i want them up!

anyone know?

zone u nib. all depends on ur soundcard/drivers methinks.
it also helps to get subs :P bass comin out the same speakers as midrange just isn't right :wtf:
