Flash Help anyone?

Ok... Im kinda new to flash and need some help. I know some of u are really good with this sorta stuff so here goes....
I want this arrow to spin around and only know how to do this:

But i want it to "spin" not rotate... More like this :)

Any one know how to do this?

Now you're moving into 3D, which isn't Flash territory. Either draw it all by hand, use a lot of tween/scaling tricks (not worth the effort, and tends to look shoddy)... or find a program which does it for you.

Uhm... I've heard of Swish3D. I heard that did things in 3D for Flash. Never wanted to do 3D in Flash before, so I never checked it out.

It can be done, im tired so im gunna try and explain briefly and quickly...

You gotta remember that flash is vector based and not 3d. This doesnt mean you cant do 3d stuff in it, it just means doing it is going to be a little different...Firstly your arrow is the wrong perspective to be able to spin around with little animational knowledge. If you look at the link above (i think its still above) you can see the arrows are drawn so they easily spin. You could make an arrow like yours spin around, but the only way i know how is to actually draw the image in flash and not paste one in (like i think you did?) and then use animation techniques within flash. Id explain better but im not too good at explaining and i cant be bovered...maybe someone else helped better while i was typing this =P

Draw a semi circle (as in half a circle NOT an elipse) add the arrow head

make that into a Graphic symbol, then make that Graphic into a movie clip symbol

go into the movie clip set up a motion tween and tell the graphic to rotate during the tween once, it should then continuously loop inside this movie clip now

Go back outside the movie clip and use the transform tool to squish the movie clip/rotate.

There you go real simple ;)
