View Full Version : Cabinets in my apt has reset.

Upon GR ing back to my apt I found out that all of my cabinets in Plaza 3 apartment returned to their original state, i.e. empty with some computer junk and weed in it. There was a lot of items there, so wonder if anyone xperienced it and what they did in such a situation.
Also I had never given my pass to anybody and its different from my chrachter name so its very unlikely that someone broke in and stole stuff.

Try E-Mailing helpdesk@neocron.com with the following information:

Server
Character name
Appartment Location

With that information they should be able to roll back your appartment to a time before it was reset.

Edit: Dang those powerposter GMs! :p

Well, this is the answer i got from the helpdesk:

This situation like you descripe, can only happen by a database error, which
affect all "active/loaded" apaprtments. But actually we havent had a database
error on saturn, and no other player has reported this problem.

We can only offer rollback for characters or appartments, if a database error
occure which the programmer can proof.

I can ask a programmer if they have registrated any errors on saturn, but
normaly they told it to me before i have time to ask for.

I got answer from the coders, and they havent found any irregular things on
the saturn database.

Well the fact is still the fact: the cabinets are empty.

Man, that sucks... I hope they can find some kind of evidence that your app did get wiped.

But try to look at the other side of the story too. KK can't believe everybody who claims to have lost an app full of items. I hope you can understand that.

So all we can do is hope they find something.

Whats your name on saturn?
I dont play there anymore but i still have alot of stuff so i'll check
for you now and then and try & help you out and replace as much
as I can of the items you have lost.

But its not the matter of getting items. I am pretty sure I can get the stuff that I need back given some time period. I have only played for abt 2 months on this character so nothing is lost that cant be found again. It just going to change my play style I either gonna keep all the important stuff in GoGo or on my alt chars. well good side: I wont need any more apartments ;)

That answer fucken scared teh shit outta me.

I have over 1000 Tech parts in one appartment & over 60 fully constructed rares & importent bits in another appartment.

I always thought if they disapeared (& it does happen) I could just get a roll back, with out to much hastle.

Now I dont know what the fuck to do. :(

The explanation I heard was that the problem is when your apartment's ID is overwritten by a new apartment. I can't remember where I heard that from though. :p

The problem with NAT's cabs was similar to this yes. They were told that there was no database error and therefore the cabs could not be rolled back, yet other people on Saturn were having their cabs rolled back at the time, due to a database error. By the time it was realised that they should have a rollback, it was too late and the backup was overwritten. 3 guesses for the name of the helpdesk employee involved. ;)

If the programmers cant find any irreglar things in the database, i cant
rollback appartements. We cant proof the way of items and in this case we cant
give out any kind of items as compensation.


My comments: looks like the help desk thinks that the only thing the player cares is his stuff in the apartment. On the contrary, i am much more worried about that this bug may happen again. Looks like there is no mechanism to track the players inventories.

At least they are looking into it.
