Strange Books

Sorry if this has already been answered but cant find anything...

Are strange books gonna be useful anytime soon. I have 2 and dont want to throw them away and then find i can use them.
So any official word on whether the drop is fixed and whether i should keep them please?

The books are useless currently and will be wiped, so don't get too attached to them! ;)

Once they are gone, they will be dropped in a much lower rate and then be important to initiate the run to get the rare Terminator shotgun.
