I can log in as anonymous but a dir of /retailpatches gives:

425 Unable to open data connection : Connection timed out.

I'm having tremendous difficulty with net performance in general today. Isn't Microsoft.com getting Doomed today?

yeah i think so, but that's not really enough traffic to make a difference in ALL net performance. in the grand scheme of things that's just another drop in the bucket. repeated small packets thrown at one address range will only affect their web servers, not the net traffic, cause while in transit over the net they're still just small packets being routed through largely diverse parts of the net.

If you're unlucky enough to be going through a router that's clogged up then you're going to have problems.
