Yepp. Swirlies move backwards. First comes the tail and then the
head comes at the end. Has it always been like that? Whats the
meaning of this? Does the direction of the swirly affect the
amount of slots you get on weapons or is it still just the color?

Maybe the planet's magnetic field has reversed again. I dare say the poles flip over quite frequently on a planet that messed up. ;)

i know how to fix it... all we need is a front deflector array, a can of inverse tacyon particles for a quick burst and a flux capacitor...
