Third link is 'dead'.

Possible explanation:

Girl's light stimulated cells in eyes pick up UV/low end xray light waves. as many objects emmit/reflect these, she could in theory see through people.

Cool :)

Nice explanation Dribble.... would be cool :)

I just depends if the right chemicals (or rather the right chemical bonds), are present. If they are, then absorbtion of the high frequency waves can occur and if said chemicals can produce a stimulation of the cell, then she can literally see through people.

I dont thikn its possible. Low end xray beams would go right thru the eye, without stimulating it at all. If her eye was stimulated by low freq xray light, then it would be stimulated by all types of UV rays as well. That would mean that she wouldnt even be able to stand near any source of light, due to the amount of uv rays they pump out. Also xrays only exist in nature in very very small quantites which need specialized devices to pick up. These quantites are nowhere near enough to make a proper xray under lab conditions, let alone stimulating a human eye.If xrays existed in such large quantities, then there would be a whole lot of weird mutations going around :).

These links are such a hoax!!!!!!!!

Possible explanation, didn't say it was in any way probable. :p

I know that xrays/high end UV will go straight through you, the wave-lengths are far too small to interact with the vast majority of bonds/atoms/molecules.

mid UV might be possible (low end wouldn't penetrate enough afaik) as to whether she would be blinded by lights I dunno, if only one in a few billion is picked up, and the rest pass through her, then it could work.

Again, I still think it is highly unlikely that this is real. Just applying and open mind and playing the devil.

shit I always dreamed of being able to see through things... especially clothes

The point is that she speaks like she can only see thru people, and like the rest of her vision is normal. That is just not possible for a person.
If she is sensitive to xray, then she is sensitive to uv as well. If she is sensitive to UV, she should see a whole different world than we see. She should see farther and in greater detail. Also she would probably not see colors in the way we do, and a lot of object would be semitransparent to her. So she makes a fool of herself saying all that.

Yes but they see the world in a whole different way than we do. Thats what makes me know for sure that she is lying. There is no way to "just see" thru people's bodies, while the rest of the world appears normal.

Dude, I'm not disagreeing with you.

I was sugesting that she may have a slight suseption to mid range UV on top of her normal vision.

And i am saying to you that she cant have that kind of suseption because in that case her vision would be a lot more sensistive/different than that of meh or you. :)

You think. :p
Why would it have to be so different, just because the spread of visible light covers a cirtain range, doesn't mean its fixed or cannot be added to.

It would have to be A LOT different. Trust me. Have you seen how pictures taken with UV sensitive films look??? A lot different. Colors more lively, a much further depth of view since uv penetrates fog/clouds far more easily. And still no nude people.
Now if someone could see that deep into the UV spectrum that he could actually see beneat peoples skin, u can imagine how different the view of the world for him would be.

and maybe she sees different from you and maybe noone sees light the same way we never know

We are talking science here, and i am quite hesitant to accept something that science cant prove.

Remember that UV sensitive film only shows you UV as another colour.

And how do you my vision is the same as yours, or anyones. I might be able to see lightly less/more into the lower end, so reds look deeper or more vibrant. I dunno whether you can, but UV lights seem quite bright to me, a somewhat eiree bright violet glow to them.
Who knows what she sees, but to totally disregard things... bleh isn't my style.

Bear in mind the source of the information ...

All we really have so far is some local stringer chucking in a hopelessly vague 300 word post into an Izvestia forum, which was then picked up by what looks like a Ukranian local newspaper and their website, which was in turn picked up by Pravda where it made it's way onto UPIs wire service, and out to the hordes of worldwide sub-editors looking for "weird world" space filler `human interest` puff pieces.

No-one, anywhere along the line seems to have felt like checking the information. At all.

Consider that we started off with public input to Izvestia, which still has it's own somewhat peculiar view of the world, and an endearing habit of treating "facts" as purely optional, then many iterations of Chinese whispers and enthusiastic embellishments thereafter ...

It's not exactly what I'd consider cast iron reliable :D
