Wow 4 hours and counting now to download the game and patch.

heh I'm on Dial up too.

Not that I'm complaining. The game is free. Heh just kinda wondering if it will be done downloading by the time my 10 day free trial is up lol.

hmmm dailup and sign trial before d/l smart move :p :rolleyes:

BTW: dont auto d/l the patches just take it from their site 1000% faster dunno with dailup but you could try :D

I do that alot... leave out those important word like "not" "no" etc.

I meant I'm NOT on Dial up. I got cable..

Like he suggested, getting the patches from their FTP site is much quicker and easier.

If you start up the launcher there should be a button called 'patch center' (nexto the flags).Click it and you'll see links to the ftp.

Edit: There should be a folder in your neocron folder called 'Patches' thats where you put them in.

You may or may not have noticed, in the Neocronlauncher it says:

US Version Patcher Bug!
If you have installed the US-retail version of Neocron, please copy this NeocronLauncher into your Neocron directory to avoid patch problems.

You can download that from here.. ftp://ftp.neocron.com/retailpatches/NeocronLauncher.exe

It is retail... Just because you downloaded it doesn't mean it isnt retail. Only thing it means is that if you don't cancel within 10 days you will get charged for the full thing. You downloaded full versionr retail of Neocron, you just get 10 days free.

Oh. Well Neocron is pretty cool, but a 'lil advice. Don't hang around in the noobie area too long. Try to find the Gene Replicator (Gen Rep) and it will take you to your appartment. It's on a hill in the wastelands close to the mc5 facility.


A nice faction to start with might be Photopharma. Then move onto something more hardcore like Black Dragon/Twilight Guardian for anti city, or City Admin, Tangent Tecknologies for Pro City.

Also I reccomend going Saturn or Pluto for your first server.

Saturn=good Playerbase, Bad Econamy, More Lag
Pluto=Friendlier, (no red=dead) more roleplay, much lower playerbase, harder to find a tradeskiller
