OT - Desktop Screen Captures - How To ?

Ive seen it a few times here where people have posted a screen capture of their entire 'desktop', How is this done ?

Because im using a Skillmanager where the HTML output seems to be broken, so maybe I can just 'capture' it on the desktop for keepsake.

just do "print screen", then paste in paint or something and save the file :)

Hold Alt before you tap printscreen and it will capture only the highlighted window (i.e., skillmanager) and you won't have to cut out the rest of your desktop.
