Well in my opinion Pluto would suit you best, even tho its not my 'home' server. this is because most of the population speaks only english and theres very little spoken german here unlike Uranus, where it is about 50/50 german english.

Pluto is also the best for not random gankage, becuase theres some alliance issuses on Uranus which can cause instant KOS as per faction, but Pluto is less PK frenzy, and saturn is even worse for ganking i have been led to believe.

As for american plays, uranus has some but not loads and i dont know about saturn, where as i was in a clan on pluto and well over 50% of the clan were american.

Welcome, think u would fit best in saturn, it has a much bigger population than uranus and pluto and has alot more americans on, dont go jupiter or venus as u proly figured, there not english :p if u go saturn ill help where i can, it sounds to me like ur expecting to just get on and pvp from go...its not like that. u get zonehoppers on every server, the ones that think there to good to gr and then proceed to call u the biggest n00b on the server cuz they zoned and didnt die *cough carrie:mad:* anyway...if u wanna avoid zonehoppers as much as possible then DO NOT play uranus, it has more than saturn and i know that as i play them both, pluto is known as the "hardcore" server but it isnt a very fun server to lvl on [1 char only, fun for like a month, then if u want another char u gotta delete the one u got and make a new one or move server and start all over again from jack shit so i wouldnt go there personally]

Anyway, if u start saturn or uranus just direct/email any of the chars in my sig on the server there at, hope u like teh game :p

I've only played on Uranus so I can't really suggest a good server for you, but I really think Neocron isn't the game for you. Try Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament if you want to be in a big battle each time you launch the game. Because you also seem like the kind of guy who doesn't have the patience to level his character...

ok well im a saturn vet(its still my home) and ive recently started playing pluto.

well for start saturn aint big on the roleplay, a little goes on but nothing major.

pluto is said to me a major roleplay server but tbh i aint see non of it, maybe i just aint looked in the right place.

but the major problems ive encountered with pluto is the lack of constructor and researchers.

on saturn a lot of people have trade skill alts, and dont mind logging on to a trade skiller for a break from pvp/pking whatver and i normally see resser/constructers online.

but on pluto its rare that i can find one(big shout out goes to Wasteland Traders-correct me if wrong name- and TgR who have helped me in tradeskill matters:) )

but one thing on pluto, first time i went into the aggy celler...2 people in there..next time... 3 people.

go on to saturn and there can be 10-12 people in there so teams are there and people to talk to while you kill whatever.

went to the MB bunker, and i was on my own most of the time cos noone was leveling there.

just after i left someone was on trade saying they were pking there, i was thinking wtf who the hell you gonna PK, there was about 2 people in the whole area.

go to saturn in the same area and there are lots of people leveling some high levels hunting warbots and just generaly more people there, its also does attract more PKers.

one thing about pluto people have been nice to me on there, not seen much shit talk tbh.

ive had it a bit lucky on pluto cos a few people i know from saturn have supplied me with rares(thanks to ][)ank,Bombshell-there ya go i mentioned ya;)- and Cyphor who all gave me uber rares)

but people say saturns economy is fucked, i dont recon so, i can do a tech part trade for 1 other tech part.

where on pluto you can see people paying millions for one part(sure it does happen on saturn) imo its easier to trade for techs than cash(though im suprised cash isnt more wanted as it can take a while to get a good sum of money.

overall id say go saturn, but pluto is decent if under populated server

edit: tbh from what your saying, it sounds like you would be happier playing planetside tbh but maybe im wrong

The time I spent on pluto (about 2 weeks total), was probably the most miserable experience I have had while playing Neocron.

Some things that have been mentioned and others that have not.

- Lack of tradeskillers. Since it's a 1 char server and pvp is so important, noone wants to be a pure tradeskiller. Unfortunatly, being a pure tradeskiller and a combat char is not always available. Here, the same people who brag about their 1 slot server have 2nd or 3rd accounts for other chars.

- RP. Saturn has very little RP. Eventually you will learn that on saturn, anything red is dead. It takes some getting used to, but depending on your faction, you can have a ton of fun. Pluto...well...if RP were so important on this server, not everyone would be a fighter, because there would have to be support chars that are not on 2nd or 3rd accounts.

- PvP. If you play on saturn, you'll get a ton of pvp. Some will argue that having so much fighting going on will take the edge off of your pvp skills, but I say who really fucking cares? It's a game. I am choosing to be able to fight all the time. My character dies alot, and I expect it. Pluto claims to be hardcore, but those folks that come over to saturn, expecting to be 'teh pwn' usually end up getting their kicks from ganking someone while they are leveling or hunting.

- Economy. Saturns economy is no worse than Plutos. Hard to start out as a noob? Try standing around on a 1 slot server for 4 hours asking for a Tech Level 7 pistol, then have the one guy who responds to you want 50k for it. On saturn, most people will just hand it to you, cause most of us have stuff that no longer drops from mobs anymore, but can be blue printed. If you want something, you only need to ask the right way. Not stand and beg and wait 4 hours to only have someone overcharge you for it. As for rares, because it's a 4 char server, you are going to pay a bit more, cause everyone seems to have 1 of each char and they all need the best junk. But with 4 chars, making good cash and getting parts to trade for other rares parts isnt difficult at all. I have been playing on saturn since retail opened and I have the maximum amount of cash a char can have on each char. Money isnt important anymore. It can be made so easily.

pluto used to be THE pvp server but atm its population is too low... id recommend saturn. Im proably the biggest pker on the server... dont think many people will argue that. Watch out though, there are plenty of pathetic weak, wimpy carebears who put in LE's.. law enforcers, that make them immune to pvp combat. I persoanly have driven many people to use the LE because ive killed them so much. Howver, you can still raid TG, MB, and some prime hunting spots to pk. Its absolutely a must to be either Twilight Guardian or Black dragon if you want to have a lot of people to pk. As a newb, you may wanna go BD, cause you will get more help (a few months ago tg was easer) and then later you can make a TG char to pk hostiles of TG. If you are gonna be pking alone, I recommend being a PE, best solo char. If you have a freind who will be your ppu, go tank or apu. If you want to be able to hack peoples belts and get items (random chance, could be great item or total junk) you must have at least 105 skill in hacking to hack the belts they drop.

See you damn carebears? Theres plenty of people out there like tis guy who want a pvp game and more will come when its advertised. Hopefully this game will become more pvp oriented and if you carebears dont like it you can pick up a copy of the sims.

log on and find a BIG fight ? i think u'll have to be the one to make the fights.. imo there aren't 24/7 fights on any server..

Pluto has it fair bit off PvP.. [TgR] been camping PP for a few hours a day and fighting all the time.. emey's just switched turns 1 clan after another came lol..

Its good if ya wonna kill and keep killing yeah but everything is so daamn expensive .. even an LEchip can cost ya 50k :)

good luck i would say with kossing roleplayers :) but if ya play saturn be carefull, cause its possible if ya kill that poor noobieroleplayer (fe: a rank 10/14 spy with a wasteland eagle as a weapon) that ya meet he's altbrother about 45 seconds later: this can be a capped apu .. capped tank ... capped hybrid or whatever what does OK damage :P

isn't the plug that pluto players use to get people to play on their server the fact that not everyone has a conster/resser/repper

must be real good fun waiting around for 6 hours to get a conster, i got most/all of my kit of people i know, but if u are to play for about 10 hours you will probably see 2 people admit to being a conster/resser usually julia chambers in TH who has const/res/rep/poke i believe.

2 hours or 3 and u do a 50 count easy (yes i do 50 techs each day in Gaya) easy.........

in one week u can make millions and build some rares..........
and saturn has the bigger american comunity...

now if u go BD just dm me or any Cartel menber and they will help u out, any other faction u can kiss my Royal behind:lol:

Uranus is like saturn only filled with alot more germans....like 50% of the server is german and will go on to call u things in german but apart from them nibs, its like saturn only not as populated which imo makes it a worse server....if this game does get published and gets alot more ppl on all server, maybe i will go back to uranus full time but until then i only log to pk as my carebear ppu cant :(

Please try to become less one-sided before posting 'facts' like this. Of course someone have had trouble getting their tradeskilling done, but your text makes it look like everyone has that problem, which couldn't be further from the truth. I think the longest time I've ever had to wait to get tradeskilling done is 30 mins, and that was at a low peak time. If I ever have any trouble getting tradeskilling done, I try trade channels, skill channels, try consters/ressers I know, and failing those, I offer a nice sum of money for a tradeskiller to help me. That always makes one turn up.

And how you get nice ppl to equal carebears, I don't know. So you're saying that everyone who doesn't either pk at random or at least just pk's a lot, say at least 10 kills a day, is a carebear. I attack plenty people, get smashed a lot back in return. I don't know what planet you live on, but I sure doesn't sound like Pluto.

Do you play on Pluto, or have you just played there for 2 weeks, only trying to look for all the negative things you've heard people on the forum say about Pluto? Sorry, but you don't sound very well versed in Pluto lore.

Well its up to you to make friends if you cant sure u need to w8 at least 6 hours for tradeskiller thats the point, be cool and interact with the community...

i log ma noob apu and i go with DIS to pp to fight with someone, sometimes i wait and see no one, so i just chit chat.

im a pluto native, but sometime in may i decided to leave kuz i was fucking bored, so i tried Saturn and it worked........

ok maybe 3 hours is a little to much, but 30 FUKING MINUTES:eek:

and that ur words not mine.........do u think i want to wait 30 fucking minutes for a ress, like a friend of mine say, u make baby Jesus cry.

Everyone has is own way to play, and for me theres a lot of carabears in that server, but that doesnt mean they arent cool ppl, and means to what im looking for u are a carabear, simple.

I've played on Pluto since January last year, and I've been an active hunter and member of Pluto, not merely an ex-member who logs in to speak with old friends.

Therefore, I put to you that I do indeed have a better grasp of the difficulty (or lack of rather) of finding tradeskillers.

And also please read exactly what I write, not what you think it says. I said that I ONCE spent 30 mins looking for a tradeskiller at a LOW peak time, not all the time. Usually I find what I need within 5 mins.

I don't get that last sentence you wrote. I think you missed some .'s there.

Anyway, IMO some people (because of personality) like one server better than the other, and that's fact. Pluto's for me. Other people like having 4 char slots. We dont have to decide which server is 'best'. Let us merely state that people are different.

Vive la différence, right? :D

P.S. Also, you seem to suffer from inflated head syndrome, since you call everyone but yourself a nib. ;)

i got more friends in this game then u got underware (dunno to spell it)

we share acounts to but we know each other for long, but thats not the point, and if u cant understand it at least u could try.

do u think ppl are goin to share acounts when ur a nib in this game, and do u chare acounts with ppl u know for like 3 months.

and ppl complain they got their acounts hacked, and there is a mad hacker out there.....(like TGR unfortunally)

and i dont have a single trade skiller char, all fighting class (apu, ppu, tank, and a spy to hack belts)

Here is some advice:

Start on Saturn.....first. Why ? well truth be told you will have a hard time finding a tradeskiller on pluto at times. I don't know what kind of gamer you are but at the beginning of learning a new game it's probably better to start on a server that has a broader playerbase and larger population.

If you start out on Pluto you'll have to deal with the possibility that at times you may have to wait around plaza #1 for a while to get some of the simplist items made. Pluto people are great people, into their roleplay but if you are learning the game I'm sure you don't wanna spend your time standing around trying to get a claw made.

Thats why I suggest Saturn first. With Saturn and all of it's players you can get a better grasp of how you want to develop your character and what personal goals you have for it. There are more people so that means more tradeskillers at hand, more people to give you tips & hints on the game and more people to hunt with. Saturn RP is almost non-existant though and boils down to "red = dead".

So if you are a RP kind of person, after just a few days on Saturn you will easily see the path you want to take your character and then can switch to pluto if you choose.

Uranus is a good server as well but it's very eurocentric and from what you'd posted I get the feeling that if you were there in the US evening/euro night there'd be few people to help you out.

Keep in mind that nothing is cast in stone and you can delete/re-roll your character as many times as you need till you get it right (saturn & uranus are both 4 character servers though so you have a bit more room to mess around)

The only important thing is to have fun, play the game your way and turn a deaf ear to the morons.

P.s And guys, lets keep the "my server is better then your server" penis fighting zipped in your pants ok ? you are aware of how dopey that sounds .....right ?

on saturn i can normally get a tradeskiller in minutes.

A lot of them don't. I spent almost 2 months playing on Saturn so I CAN tell peeps what it is like there. Those that are on Saturn normally slag other servers off because of what others have told them - they never find out for themselves :rolleyes:

Waiting doesn't make me not want to play on the server, I realise very little time is spent needing research and construction done.. as I get as much done at one time as possible..

ACTUALLY my friend, I've only ever had one account, those are all my Saturn chars i've played and deleted over the past year or so. :p

I've been playing this game since last november. During that time, I've played with stock-x, I've hunted every mob in the game (to date), and I have collected multiples of every rare in the game except for drones and the new tank rares. The spares I had of each, I sold. Auctioned off, not demanded a specific price for them. It goes to the highest bidder. If some idiot wants to pay 10 million for a psi core of a cursed soul, then they will. Point is, I made a monk a month ago to go to MC5 with. I came to the point where I needed a psi core. I didn't have to pay 8mil for one. I already had one. But if I wanted one, I had already gathered the 5 parts for one during my hunting and trading.

Alot of the people on saturn love to "hate" certain players. Honestly most of CM hates BD/TG. Most of TG hates BD/CM. Most of BD hates TG/CM/FA, the list goes on...lots of fighting, bitching, squacking, etc....

Some people would say...wtf thats immature crap why would anyone want to be like that? But others want it to be like that, if i liked everyone on Saturn I would be bored of hte server.

When on pluto I roleplay 40% of the time.

I only go on saturn when I want to PK noobs with my Noob rank 36 Tank.

On saturn for me: not in safezone and same as or lower rank=dead. Faction Irrelevant.

Only log him when I get bored.

Reason:

I played saturn for a couple of weeks and the people there are fucking dickheads to noobs. So I figured that was what Saturn was all about, and now I'm joining in the action!

Start on saturn. It needs more noobs 4 me 2 pk when i get bored.

By that, the server is a joke because you are there? Glad we cleared this up.

As stated, I have played on saturn since the very start. If you only come there to randomly pk, perhaps you are part of the problem. Don't blame the big clans because people are cowards and don't want to fight for ops. Blame the people themselves.

It's quite funny actually. Simply because TG and CM on saturn cannot defeat 1 faction that has 2 decent sized clans, they have decided to ally themselves. This is fucked up. But people are going to do what they are going to do.

Alot of the current BD people who left TG almost 2 months ago left due to a couple of clans riding on the coat-tails of 1 clan. That clan had the most skilled pvp'rs and held the majority of the TG ops. Not because we had the most members, but because we faught for them, daily. Now that we left, TG doesn't have a leg to stand on, so people are moving from that tg to bd or one of our allies. So, to remedy that, we turn the 'best' ops to gr faction or gr clan only.

We are a group of people who like to get in fights. We win some, we lose some, but the point is we want to have a nice battle. This is why i like saturn. I can log on, run to PP1 and 9 times out of 10, i'll get in a fight. On pluto, I stood in pepper 1 for 5 hours afk and wasn't attacked once.

Pluto is great cause of the one character slot, thats one reason I play there now instead of uranus. Truth be told, I just started up a character on Saturn to see what all the hype is about it. Right when i logged in I took my LE chip out and went to the sewers. Was ganked by a capped spy not even red to me (I'm proto pharma) and I was a fucking 0/2. Go back to get my belt, start killin rats, there he is again and guns me down.

Get to aggy's start doin mission, and this time i'm just sick of getting killed by that spy, a tank devourer and a few other incidents I just said fuck it and put my LE back in. Its no fun for a n00b to just get repeatedly ganked for no reason other than, "I'm capped and your not!!" elitest attitude. Shit I even took poking up as a tradeskill to poke people and get on peoples good side, still didn't help there. Ultimately its your choice, i'd say try a 4 character server out first and then decide. I have a blast on pluto cause of the OP fights.

As you seem to lack of some information about RP I'll lighten you up a bit; that's live roleplaying you're talking about and has almost nothing to do with the traditional RP. But yes, the live roleplay requires more acting with your body. The traditional RP concentrates more on your mindwork.

And at first almost everyone thinks RPing is weird shit but give it a try and play Cyberpunk 2020 (pen and paper RPG) for a year or half and you'll start to realize the beauty of it. I'm saying this since it seems you obviously haven't been in touch with these things for real.

So either learn what it's about or let it be!

Im not trying to get anyone to STOP roleplaying, if thats your thing go for it. Its just not my thing. I act the same on my computer as i do in real life.

It just seems wierd to me. Like I encountered this guy one day and i was going to join his clan (this was almost a year ago now lol) and the guy started the WHOLE rp routine on me, ok lets discuss this...brings me to some restaurant, goes and buys some beer and stuff and puts it on the table...then he starts telling me all this crap how the streets are full of tsunami scum and we need to patrol pepper park and clean it out...like HARDCORE roleplaying, with the emotes of him drinking his beer and everything....

And the whole time i was like.....yeeeaaah..ok....:eek:

Unless you started on pluto the day neocron was released in north america, ive been there longer then you. Otherwise, we've both been there the same amount of time.

And I am a hardened saturn player now. I can name players that you may or may not know played on Pluto full time when it first came out, and for a LONG time after....some with thier same names, some with different names...

Im a hardened Pluto player and my brother is a hardened Saturn player from let see abt november 2002 - not far from the release date which really shouldnt matter. in saturn my friend, i logg at 7 pm, go into battle, and i logg at 2 am and im stil in battle, and ive fought over 6 or 7 dif outposts, 2 or 3 diferent factions, so u plutonians dont have a fucking clue what in the world u talking about.

and when ppl say i know what its like kuz my brother as an alt there, can go shave is ass hairs with a knife, kuz ur brother then doesnt get invloved will all the politics and big clan's dispute, thats for sure

pluto is the only server that their base player count went down to more then half, that means that a little over half of the players from pluto either left game, or left the server

u dont see that hapen in saturn, uranus, or jupiter..........
