I remember seeing screenshots of various places in the city including what seemed to be a new crahn church, does anyone know a address for these pics, I'v tried google but all i find if the starter appt pics.

It's not really odd when you think about it...they been looking to get a new, better publisher for a long time...why get people amped about something with screenshots and things of that nature when you have no idea when you're going to have someone to publish your game

true but nc screenies were posted looooong before nc was ever released.

There's been a thread with some more pictures as well, but I can't seem to find it.
I'd guess that once MJS releases more DOY information (Which should happen this month), he'll also include some more screenshots.
Cant remember where they are so instead we must distort ur thread into demands for new screenies, you know its the right thing to do Dissenter :D
well seeing as you obviously couldn't read it properly the first time I thought I'd give you a little help.
No they are not the only screenshots of BDOY, otherwise this thread wouldn't exist would it.
All I was asking for was If anyone knows where they are, and if they have a link. I've searched myself but no luck after about 15 different sites.

Some more pictures in this thread, scroll down a bit to see 'em. Their quality isn't as good as the screenshots were though, because they were taken with a WebCam/Digital Camera. (http://neocron.jafc.de/showthread.php?s=&threadid=73237)
As you might note they've been using the extra time to add more features to DoY. According to Thanatos' post, CyberMall was not originally planned for release with DoY, but as we now know, it will be included with DoY. I'm sure there's probably other features that they're adding too. Personally I'm very excited about DoY - I think it's going to add a lot of features to the game and improve the game.
I just hope that the publishers do their job properly this time around, and if they do I can see the possibility of the popularity of Neocron increasing greatly.

All these shots were taken with a digi cam from the screen, when we were showing DoY at the last year's GC. That's why they are so blurry. But they look even better when you see them "sharp". ;)
Sorry, but we don't really want to release more shots atm. We prefer to drop a massive bomb later... ;)

Only thing keeping me, and many of my pals from coming back officially to Neocron is the damn carebearness of the game, and the too many "Mmorpg" aspects and less PvP/FPS aspects. =)
I want a massively multiplayer FPS-ish mmorpg with less leveling BS, less farming loot, and more sleezy street combat, back alley drug deals, struggles for dominance over city sections and more. With sufficient bloodshed and corpses thrown in for good measure.
Man, what a game that would be.... I just can't stomach slaying 20000 rats to get to the PvP, then only to be gimped till I go farm and have built weapons good enough to compete. =(
Thats half the problem with PvP in most mmorpgs, uneven playing field. Less about skill, more about how much time you spent grinding the levels and farmin the lewt.. That just sucks, really sucks. Tedium wins, skill loses..
Fix the genre Martin, and there will be no limits to the success. :D

One question though, is the graphics engine getting an update with DoY? There is no way that's gona run smooth on many machines. It would be absolutly hideious in a fight.
MJS do us (and yourself) a favor and remind people this game exists, trickle a few shots out to the gaming press please.

Well, as I always said, a mix of Neocron and Planetside would be
the absolute epitome of masterful pwn. Planetside has what
Neocron lacks, Neocron has what Planetside lacks.
Thats not planetside. The reasons planetside were boring are completely different - planetside had no long term goals, and was a simple base hack spam fest.
Neocron with far more planetside elements would simply OWN. But the compelling reasons to fight would be things like zones of control, actual faction control of areas and other things.
I don't know about you guys, but the PvE elements of the game always sucked anyway. I mean, how much can slaying 2000 brainless mobs a week and searching for parts keep you playing? It doesn't, and in Neocron, it was the battles, combat, and faction wars that kept us coming back for more.
I remember one night, there was over 1200 people playing on Pluto. What a fun time that was, and something has to be done to bring those people back. Perhaps a total re-package and re-launch of the game with better product positioning would do it. Perhaps a rather radical restructuring of the gameplay, with less boring mmorpg crap and more FPS combat would do it? Would probably bring in some FPS clans too.
Just some ideas.
