Here's an idea for a new money sink.

How many times have you gone crazy looking for that last part you needed to build a weapon? Create an NPC that allows you to select any tech from the current tech pool and gamble for it. It would cost say 50K and you would have a 2-3% chance of success.

Nope, because some guys would buy 1000 pieces, because thier clan is a little bit rich.

Trading is better.

It would be better, to have NPCs who could sell the parts, you don't need. Player Shops, you know. wait for DOY, a lot of things will be changed.

Theres ppl with hundreds of millions of credits in their clan funds. Nice idea but it wouldnt be just a new moneysink, it would fuck the trade between players.
