So I got bored playing Neocron and quit, and then decided to come back and reroll my charactors and pretend to the world I'm a complete newbie to the game. This won't be an on going thing because I've already seen enough for the average new comer to the game to never come back. All I want to say is Reakktor REALLY needs to fix this before DoY is released.
So, day 1:
After rolling my charactor (named Dani Nowakosta on pluto), it took me three attempts to log in. First time I logged in I synced. Second time I logged in, I... synced. And the third time I logged in I was finally greeted in MC5's processing unit with a box on my screen, yadda yadda.
I went up the gravlifts, tried to zone, and suffered from the 'use' bug. So, in my attempt to be completly noob I'm like "omfg what is with this." And log out.
Twenty minutes later I log back in, click on the 'door' (looks more like a wall with graffity on it - lets not go there) and crashed. Fatal run time error. Thanks a bunch, click ok, restart the game.
I finally make it the Genrep, genrep to my apartment a-ok, no problems. I meet up with a bunch of friends who've just come back to the game after spending the best part of the year inactive, and they ask me to add them to buddy. So, cut the crap, I know how to do this and try and add the runner 'Relwoh' to buddy. In honesty this isn't something I've come across before but, instead of my friend Relwoh, it adds some completly none existant name going under 'FrostyS'. I try removing and readding him multiple times...
...Right, so I start taking out my LE, apart from taking long enough for me to watch an entire episode of the average cartoon, it finally gets to 100% and then.. stops. Sitting at 100%, not doing anything, and to top it off to the rest of the server I'm not yellow, and some Tsunami Syndicate PE comes up behinds me and kills me. Excellent.
So after GR'ing back to my apartment we meet up again and decide to kill rats. Plaza 3 sewers, tag the genrep, and zone.
~ Fatal Runtime Error ~
...many attempts (2) at logging back in, and I'm at the entrance to the sewers STILL IN PLAZA 3.
So we go leveling for 60 minutes, no bugs no problems, by which time we've met up with 3 other runners who want to know if we want to goto the Plaza 3 cellers (the one next to the genreps), which we do.
Now later on, suddenly I just die. Nothing around me, no mobs, no runners, no stealthers, nothing. I go back down to get my backpack and have a good look around, theres nothing at all there!

Now in all fairness I've given it a fair try, more of a chance than any of the new shipment of newbies we're gonna get when DOY is *finally* released will. It's all fair saying "DOY will bring more people to the game", but as it is those people are quickly gonna go and chose any of a number of other games to go and play.
