My namesake has passed away, RIP Bob Monkhouse

UK players will probably have heard that my namesake, the legendary Bob Monkhouse, has lost his fight with cancer:(

Bob was a classic comedian, a master of timing, comedic expression and the artful one liner. He hosted many entertaining quiz shows and was a phenomenal after dinner speaker (his "adult" material was a million miles from his TV work).

He will be sorely missed, lets all spare a thought for his family and friends.

I will leave you with a classic Monkhouse quote:

"People used to laugh when I said I wanted to be a comedian; well, they are not laughing now!"

It is not very tasteful to question an obituary...........Yes it is sad, as for your comments about not being a legend....EVERYONE in the UK over the age of 12 knows who Bob Monkhouse was, he had a long career and made a lot of people laugh. At least let his body cool before you smear his reputation:(
