Wasteland Extra - alternative newspaper

Ok, this is a project which I have been thinking about for a while. Would you pay in-game money for a newspaper supplied every two weeks which had impartial articles on various topics?

If so what sort of things would you want to hear about in the newspaper. Also this would only be for saturn I'm afriad, as my reporter is only active on saturn. I would probably send the newspaper over e-mail to everyone who has paid me ingame.

I would be hoping to have articles on politics, current events, OP wars, that sort of stuff... also maybe have some advertisements. If I get a good load of advertisements then I will be able to start paying (ingame of course) people to write articles for the newspaper....

So would you pay for one, and how much would you pay?

Wouldnt u have to type the article out to every person? Or is there a way to paste into the mail window or even send to multiple people? I dunno I havent used email since like.... the third week of retail lol.

Aww I would pay anything reasonable ingame but out of game it just looses its appeal.

They need some way to paste a message into email... but then maybe we would have a problem with spam email in neocron :eek:

Yeah... i was trying to think of a way to make it COMPLETELY ingame, but the game just won't let me do it in any reasonable fashion. :(

It would be pretty simple to do it ingame... just set up a macro (with a third party program) which will type out the entire email. If you set up a full macro, including pressing New Email and typing each persons name, email and pressing send, etc, you could probably automate the entire task, and as long as you dont fatal halfway through the task, you'd be right...

You might want to ask KK if its alright for you to use Macros before you run off and do it though...

Too bad I'm on Pluto or else I'd be up for some Paper lovin'!!

I'd try to contact Callash about this, you're currently a regular freelance writer for the Neocronicle right? So tell him you're interested in setting up your own different newspaper, and would appreciate it if your newspaper could get posted on the Neocron website, and possibly spread around as in-game items (Sort of like the Neocronicle Magazines which are in-game, except with the actual paper as description).

That's your best way to get it really in-game as far as I can see, it'll be hard to manage without support from KK.
