When I open NC, the normal launcher screen is replaced by the reakktor website. This happened once before but I cant remember what I did to fix it. HELP PLEASE!!

happned to me a few days ago when i tried the neolauncherpro thingy..


i used startmenu link instead of normal neocrnlauncher thing (not even the pro thing) and then it worked agian.

Have you tried to run Check Files? That might work.

Otherwise, check the Update.ini file in the 'ini' folder in your Necron directory and make sure the correct HOMEURL address is given.

I would assume that everyone's should be the same and if I am correct then yours should read the same as mine:

HOMEURL=http://www.neocron.com/patcher/index.php

Try that and see if it works.

it would appear as though this "Update.ini" file you speak of does not exist in my folder o_O

EDIT: whats the "server IP" you put in the upper right hand corner of the launcher?

this happened to me aswell, the excact same thing...
i had to reinstall in the end....

OK....download/reinstall/patches downloaded done. Now it says failed to connect to server after 4 retries.... anyone?

The initial problem : other that being the wrong web-page what was the Launcher doing when you hit "Play Neocron"?

I'm assuming you now reinstalled, if so :

Did the patching go OK?
Do you get the right page in the Launcher?
Have you got the 62.140.29.54 in the IP Box in the launcher?
Are other internet progs working on that PC (if it's not the one you are on to read this ;))?

2 uninstalls later and It decides to work!!

...the un-installs were kinda un-needed.

Happend to me afetr i got rid of NC launcher pro, just grab a neocron launcher from a friend over MSN or something and it will work again
