I wrote this a while ago I just never got around to posting it.
Now since patch 193 and 194 came out this is even more of a problem because one other way to raise factions was to kill NPC’s but now faction guards are so much tougher, it will be a lot harder go into as enemy HQ and just start killing.
There needs to be a better way to raise negative factions to a point where you can do missions.
Now begins the saga
I wanted to raise all my factions as I stated in thread.

My faction loyalties were so low based on killing NPC’s to change factions and bugged faction hits while droning, and the standard pk-ing. But mostly it’s from killing NPC’s. At one point I think I had –100 in some of the factions but back then I was not paying much attention.
I wanted to raise all my faction loyalties so I could do epics and I could pick any clan / join any faction.
Yes I know I could have gone into a faction headquarters and start killing. But that would not result in what I wanted. Which was to raise all the factions. If you kill one faction, some factions will go up, other factions will go down. I didn’t want any to go down.
In the above thread Eric Draven stated
“It takes at least three weeks of being online (nonstop) to turn a -99 sympathy into 10. And yes, I tested it.”
I think he needs to retest it cause it took me longer.
My computer and Neocron were on a most of the time. But sometimes I was lazy or I / my computer had something better to do or I was leveling and didn’t want to go back to somewhere safe to leave my body or a lot of the time Neocron would kick / fatal / sync me out of the game.
When I started this I sent an email to the help desk asking if they can raise my factions. I received no response. (Has a side note a response, even it is a no, is better than no response. Just my opinion.) When I was in the low -70’s I talked to a GM and asked if he could raise my factions. He said “no”.
So I waited. And waited and waited. I did a lot of missions while I waited. Or play other characters.
(2nd side note the mission system just sucks. There must be a better way to get them than the current citycom system where you can only look at 3 at a time.)
During this time I only killed 3 players. (on this runner). A WB loot stealing tangent, a TG I never saw while droning, and a city admin that had very bad aim on his APU spells. I couldn’t tell if the CA was a bad leveler or a bad pk-er so I killed him to make Neocron a safer place.
But anyway, I don’t understand the system that makes you leave you computer running for weeks at a time. I didn’t pay for the bandwidth. There must be a better way that can be introduced to raise negative faction loyalty that does not involve going into a faction headquarters and killing everything in sight. (Which is so much harder now.)
