Windows XP problem please help! :(

I need help! :(

When I go to open a folder instead of opening the folder it opens the search things. I have to right click and select open. I cant double click it or it opens the searchs thing and asks if I want to search that folder instead. *cries*

go in control panel and check through the folder options, i had something similar to this but atm i cant remember how i fixed it but it's something to do with the shortcut/option assigned to the right click.

my computer - tools - folder options - restore defaults.

should work

IF nothing else works, goto registry path:


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Make sure nothing is after explorer.exe

Not sure exactly what the cause was but something changed in File Types for File Folder.. in folder options. I am guessing it was something I was using for windows XP it was giving WinXp a lot of problems. >_< When I went to uninstall the program everything went bad. -_-*
