View Full Version : Cant get patches 160/186 to work

I uninstalled and reinstalled to try to install test server. Copied then repatched and then got patches from ftp for my copy and neither versions will recognize that i have patches 160/186 and test doesnt see patch 212 either. Can any one help me as in how to get either to work for me? This is about my fourth clean version of nc in about 24 hours and i have the .pak files in a folder named nc in the root drive. I need any help at all.

put all patchfiles into /patches. then delete patchfiles 159 and 184.
then try again.
that i think should fix it.

i did that and after i tried to update installer. It redownlaoded 159 and 184 then shut down. what now?

Download the updated NeocronLauncher, the link should be on the main screen when you start up NeocronLauncher. It sayssomething like US version fix, download NeocronLauncher. Replace your launcher with that one, and everythin will be fine.

Apparently downloading the fixed Launcher from the first page can fix this bug, give that a try.

well you should have said so then.

only fix is by removing the said patches and letting them auto download. remove the ones it crashes on as well as the ones before it. (so thats 159, 160, 185 and 186)

[edit] And make sure youre hitting the Update Launcher rather than the standard launcher (the one the desktop shortcut points to) when it tells you too.

hafta reinstall nc because now i get message that i have newer version than client.... prolly from trying to get test server to work. Quick question though.. when puttin my .pak files on my root drive do i put them in a folder and call it neocron or just put it on the c: drive?

Regardless of wether you had the updated Launcher, do it again. It's possible that one of the patches modified NecronLauncher causing the problems. I have never heard of a case were using the updated launcher didn't fix the 160/186 bugs.

Okay i got normal nc to work. Now to try to get NeoTest folder to get on the testserver.. Thanks

You need to remove 159 and 185 not 184 if it was 186 that was buggy. :)

If that doesn't work, poke me in the eye with a stick and suck all the juices out with a straw. ;)

I got Nc to work and am getting the last 2 patches atm for the test server. After that it should work great. Thanks for all the help.
