MMORPG site & forum popularity vs NC's

Alright I was curious how popular neocron and it's forum is compared
to other MMORPG's & forums. I used a utility from download.com called
Link Popularity Check 2.0.1 (http://download.com.com/3000-2379-10137128.html?tag=lst-0-3) which shows statistics for links on
five of the major search engines (shown in screenshot). Of course
link popularity depends on the product, age and advertisement.

Lets have a look (note i left alot of popular mmorpgs out, i really
just wanted to see how Neocron vs FoMk differed anyway):

These numbers are expected to jump when neocron releases DoY
and when FoMk goes retail..but how much, time can only tell :p

To be fair FoMK doesnt even really EXIST as such yet, and has not got a real player base as it isnt retail.

I love NC though, and yes, BDoY will kick some heavy cladded arse.

I'm aware of that of course, I'm sure when nc was in pre-beta
state it didn't exist at all either. But still, these stats show neocron
is ahead of other mmorpgs with a total of 15,000. And this is with
little if no advertisement. It's purely the community/forums in which
generated those hits over the years.

Now when B : DoY comes out, NC is going to be properly advertised
and i can see those numbers jumping from hype and new found
*ahem* addictions. While this may happen, FoMk can also get
very popular, again time will only tell. I'm going to hang on to this
screenshot and see how it changes in the next 3 months ;)

This thread is purely about mmorpgs as a genre and how much
each share in the popularity pie. I'm boasting neocron in all my
posts.

@all, let's not go into specifics about fomk as they are competing
with nc. others are open for discussion, i don't want the thread
getting closed :mad:
