Are live events a good thing for neocron, Considering the majority of the people who play this game will never see a story line advancement is it really worth the time it takes for a live run to entertain 6 or 7 people?

Also should a live run really make the gameplay for other runners more negitive? Should people who are hunting at the crystal caves for bones for themselves and people with them be told by a GM to leave so that a few runners can gain more enjoyment from the game whilst bugs go unfixed and the majority get no storyline whatsoever, it is hardly fair or equal that people get kicked out from there hunting on the demands of others.

Because runners are on a live run, Others players are suddenly not allowed to kill them, even when they are enemies, we are not all no protect our outposts in live runners are in that zone.

Is it fair at all in the slightest that gms synch people out of the game for killing there enemies, If it is anything it is certainly not roleplay to make people vanish for no reason that hardly keeps the pretense?. Not to mention the fact that the syncing the GMs put the characters in complete messes up some peoples characters, Resulting in a very long time to log back in.

Surely runs should be more dynamic and take outside players into account rather than completely fucking the game over for others, whilst a minority get specialist treatment. Or should this game enjoyment just hinge on who you know?

GM's can't synch your character out. Usually if you're bad, you get a free trip to the inside of Dark Metal.

Yep, bad thing of them to synch ppl out. I was there, I didnt do anything except looking that the newly spawn tent and table with a citycom on it. Suddenly two of our men vanishes one by one because the GM didnt like them barreling a table with a citycom on it. Then I ran around there, protecting the area and suddenly I get kicked by the GM, couldnt login for 5 minutes. No, I did not like being kicked for no reason, thats gay. Instead of doing stupid things you might just talk to the guys instead of kicking them all the time, if you dont talk to them, how do you know that they know that they are doing the wrong thing?

Why do people keep linking GM's to bugs not being fixed?

I'm not sure why there arnt more GM's, but I'm guessing that the GM induction krew are busy - the more GM's they get, the more people can enjoy live runs.

Personally, I'd love to be a GM to do live runs etc.

First off all I think you owe the people reading this thread the facts.

Fact one: You were killing a group of enemy faciton runners at the batcave. Fair enough.

Fact two: it happened that these runners were performing a live run at the time and this delayed the progress of the run.

Fact three: you were asked to hold back for no more than ten minutes to allow these runners to accomplish their objective.

You agreed to do this and they were able to compelte this objective. However, after that you and yoru clan trailed the group and attempted to disrupt progress at any possible opportunity.

This has lead to the decision to exlude your clan from any future live run events. We will not hesistate to take further action if you decide to interrupt these events in future.

Live runs are much easier to coordinate than server wide events and that means we can run them more regularly than server wide events.

We have a policy to allow anyone a chance to participate in these live runs and we are looking at ways to include those who don't read the forums, for obvious reasons.

We have a competant team of GMs who work on the event staff and are able to run live runs with no disruption to server wide events. If anything, this just means we're running more interactive eventing.

This is not about special treatment, this is about an idea which is in its infantcy and so has not reached many yet. With the exception of your clan, noone is excluded from live runs - but behaviour as we witnessed tonight will ensure that.

I am very disappointed that the behaviour of some effects the gameplay of others because they do not have the common courtesy to wait their turn.

It really makes me upset then, to see you on the forums with the nerve of claiming you are being penalised unfairly.

We will not be happy to see you interfering with any events as you were tonight - and you can take your exclusion from live runs as a small taste of what we are willing to do if you persist.

I am one to forgive and forget however, and will be quite happy to remove this decision if and when you prove you can participate appropriately.

It was not a link. Just a point no matter how much you paint over rust, the rust still exists there below and no windowing dressing solves that.

That's fine Penzius. I will not hesitate to destroy any enemy faction participating in a live run at any point in time, and I will do it purposely from now on simply due to the fact that you did not warn me before syncing me.

Speaking to Carniflex is not speaking to me.

In this instance I am vindicated after firestorming all of you in Biotech hq. If you want to shit on about it thinking you are justified, I'll be happy to play protagonist if you purposely exclude us from live runs in the future over this.

This thread is just BEGGING to turn into a flamefest, so I am closing it.

By the way: If a GM tells you to leave a group of runners alone, you do it. If you think it is unjustified, you email supportwatch@neocron.com or abuse@neocron.com even, but you still do it. And that's all there's to it.
