the lad i knew was an awesome teamplayer, but that was in our view - individually his aim, movement etc was average, but his backup and help was great.

he too thought he was average and never could understand why we picked him for every game.

Is being average really that bad? I mean being average just makes you similar to everyone else. Not better, not worse.

Sometimes I would rather be just average than have the massive ego that I have. I have people at work who, instead of saying something like "Dear God" they say "Dear (insert my real name here)":D. And then they bitch about that fact that I'm arrogant.:rolleyes:

Anyway, I used to have one of the lowest self-esteems of anyone I knew in High School. I decided that I didn't want to feel sorry for myself, so I contemplated suicide (never a viable option, BTW, it's for pussies IMHO), but decided I would go to the opposite extreme. Now I'm one of the most egotistical people I have ever known IRL, and enjoy pissing people off about my attitude.

I think the Bloodhound Gang said it best in one of their songs:

"I don't give a damn if you don't like me, 'cuz I don't like you, 'cuz you're not like me."

Anyway, in short, give it up. Quit feeling sorry for yourself. It's not doing you any good anyway. Worrying about whether or not your average will only make it worse.

I don't mean to offend anyone with my post here, I just had to share my personal experience and how I dealt with it.

Real PvP - where's theres some sort of risk, however minute - is better practice in my opinion. I used to carry rares around so I felt I couldn't lose for fear of dropping them.

Also as far as NC goes maybe uranus is getting you down atm, cause if your like me and you try to go anywhere the GR is either locked (KK where are those other gr's you promised) or you have to fight someone just to hunt for rares or to get somewhere o_O !
