Ok i have about £200 to spend on my comp. i need ideas and items to buy :)
here is my current system :
(CPU) 1-AMD Athlon™ processor, 1399MHz, 256KB
(RAM) usage: 124/256MB (48.44%) .:.
(GFX) NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440,
(Display) 1024x768/32bit/70Hz
(OS) Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 1
(HDDs) 21.1GB/41.2GB(51.3%) free
My wish list:
new case
MORE memory(!)
if its possible a better GFX card
Ok please help little old me out
imo even if it's sweet to have a cool looking case, it won't improve
your preformance.... what i would do is make a priority list and
work my way from there... RAM should be priority #1 for u imo :D

i disagree, GFX should be number one. Then ram. Get at least an ATI 9500 (they should be cheap atm). Then spend the rest on ram. Scrap a new case. It looks cool but thats about it. (Although some expensive cases offer more cooling options.)

totaly true, when i read the first time i missed that it was the MX card...
GFX first, then RAM

How much does a top of the range mobo cost these days, I REALLY need one.
£200-£400?
Could get a decent one for around 300, maybe cheaper aint looked for a while. I really need one too, and a new processor but gunna wait till after christmas there might be sales...
Back on topic, you could get 512mb of DDR for around 60-70 and a ge force 4 Ti4600 for somewhere around 100.

lol and thought i was doomed just spilling Pepsi all over my case (i know im a tard, PC was on aswell) and the CD drives got stuck shut
anyway id say GFX top priority then RAM but if your case is THAT bad i think you could deffo do with a new one, lol

if you really need a case that bad, i wouldn't spend a whole lot
on it... just an ugly retarded grey mid tower would do fine :)

definetaly change that GFX card. Even an ATi Radeon 9000 is quite superior to urs. Ur CPU will be fine for a few more months, but ur gfx wont cope it. trust meh!
