Not only do they have the most beautiful girls in the world, now look at this:
Bredbandsbolaget who is an ISP in Sweden has got the following offer to its customers: 100 Mbps for 111,81 dollars a month!!! There is one drawback though, it has a download limit. The good thing is that it is 300 GB.
I hope this is the future for all of us. Imagine when doy comes out and we are all on 100 Mbps lines it will take a nanosecond to download :D .

Yeah this is great
BUT of course there's drawbacks
1) $111 is kinda much you know
2)Your regular harddrive can't write in that speed anyways
3)Not many other people have that kinda line so it won't make much difference
4)BBB (BredBandsBolaget) only give this offer to CERTAIN customers
And BBB is also based in CERTAIN cities
Which means 90% of us can't have it

Then you are looking in the wrong place slade.
1) Live in one of the towns/cities with a university
2) Take some shitty course, get a "kår-leg" (this is the key to
paradise, carry this and the pearly gates will open)
3) Go to one of the 10-15 pubs which are for students only, beer
for one third the normal price, party every night and a 2:3
guy/chick ratio.
The best part of it is that these chicks have usually just now
become good looking, most of them were pretty average earlier
and get all giddy when someone hits on them, then they start
feeding you tongue. Its the good stuff. Did I mention that the
booze is cheap?
**edit: Oh yah, the point was this, most of these chicks are
actually pretty smart as well, its a interesting experience to be
able to have a conversation with people you are hitting on
instead of just making masculine sounds in their general direction.

Yeah that 100mb they've got is good to set up servers - where available, which I'm sure many of its customers will do.
If you have that connection, download DC - DirectConnect, they've got a whole hub devoted to the fast speed connection, so everyone can exchange stuff in a matter of seconds.
I don't live in that part of area where BBB has its coverage, but I'm thinking it _HAS_ to be in some complex of apartmants in Göteborg - which is where I will probably move to in the next 2-4 years. And price will go down surely by then :)

how much is the theoretical maximum on thruput of a HDD these days anyhow? I know ATA reached its maximum, so Serial ATA is taking its place starting at 166MB/Sec or something? Mines 100MB/Sec (or about 38MB/Sec to be honest). How bout, two Serial ATA's in RAID formation, both at 166, both absorbing the data at the same time, that be 166x2? O_o

I don't really see the point of a connection that wide for a home user, I mean seriously, is there actually gonna be that many places on the internet that will give you that kind of download speed (unless you are going to be downloading things in multiples of 100).
Actually, thinking about it, several "leech" style programs all connected to different um.... 30k-300k jpegs servers could possibly be usefull for aquiring a whole mass of 30k-300k sized jpegs, perhaps some movies aswell. Ahh sounds great, I'm moving to whatever country your talking about.

Good ol' Finland. While it snows somewhere else, it's raining icy water here. It's dark, cold, all the shops are playing xmas music.
We have odd laws coming up and stuff like that. And our president is a woman. Nothing bad in it tho. Most of the girls are good looking but they use to much booze and smoke too much. And smart.. that's an urban legen to most of them ;)
Good thing I found an average looking girl who's smart and funny :p

Those Swedes ARE lucky, I read that they have the fastest internet connections in the world too, I always thought it was US but US came in third.

I won't EVER NEVER EVER NEVER move to sweden -- because I live in Finland -- that should say everything.
But .. 100 euros for 100mb connection. I pay now 100 euros for 2 megs connection so that would definetly hit the spot :)
Ahh internet connection in sweden is pretty nice if you got bbb. Sure it's pretty expensive with 100+ dollars per month for 100 mbit. But like 30 for 10 mbits at home in yer own app is pretty nice too :). And no download limit. So that will do until the prices for bbb's bandwidth to the world gets cheaper, cause the faster they go the more money in transfers they need to pay.
Well, if you want to see average Finnish girls, perhaps you should browse irc-galleria (www.irc-galleria.net) Some of those girls a young tho ^^
