price of mmorpg's (the discs)

Why the hell is games like SW:G and Final Fantasy XI so expensive the discs I mean like when i bought the disc for neocron it was £20 then it went down I think so why on earth is the SW:G disc £40 in game especially when you pay monthly.

P.S how much is final fantasy XI and SW:G a month and is it true its random what server you play on in final fantasy XI and to play on the same server as ure mates u have to pay extra a month?

It cost me Fourty Five i think in the us to buy neocron when it first came out.


As for the random server for FF yea its true. Though from what ive read if your friend is on a server he\she can buy u a worlpass with ingame money i beleive and give u the password to play with him/her.
