Mainly there is a major diffrence between this and all the other mmorpgs ive played. this is that you have to level before you can use certain items. all other games i played allow you to use any item at any level. and skill just effects how effective with it. that said i think this idea of level limited weapons isnt bad atall.

major problem as stated in another thread.. to do ANYTHING in this game you have to kill shit. and its the WORST part of this game (for me) i HATE leveling at newbie level.

Also a long time ago. KK stated that this isnt a PVP game. that you could be a "PURE tradeskiller" and work out ok. yet the FORCE you to have combat abilities to level to cap. and then with epics they FORCE you into a PvP role. (which many players ignore)

Thirdly. the fact that you have to use a subskill within a skill to level it is ... annoying. i think it should level with any XP. but slower than the mainskills on use.

Just my usual rant.

Not sure what your point is.

Use requirements are hardly unique to Neocron.

Pure tradeskilling is screwed up atm thanks to KK's retarded specialisation nonsense.

I like the subskill/skill levelling system. Maybe it could use a few tweaks here and there but it's pretty good IMO.

The change to stats based weapons was the turning point for this game. It went downwards.

basicly their idea of fixing power leveling of skills was to just make it so you had to do it the power levelers way to level normally....

IE when people got INT xp by trading large groups of datacubes back and forth from dealer, they made it so using this tactic you would only get xp at a slow rate. But after of course everyone stopped doing it and then it was forgot so now everyone thinks barter xp is non existant.

When people taped down the run button afk for CON xp they remove running xp from CON. Etc etc until the only normally levelable skills (without using these power level techniques that noone remembers) are combat skills. Then they go and nerf LOM's...

I hate it that as a PSI it takes you forever, perhaps you'll never have it, to get Dexterity.
Why should a monk have to swing a gun just to get the points and then never use it again?
Or you have to get repair or recycle, skills you will probably never use again because you will have to lom them to put the points into agility

or run missions for the next few months, i.e. to gain an extra level for dex need 7000 points and get 250 per hard mission, so that is 25 missions for one rise in level, and sometimes it is bugged and you don't get a the mission points or 'mission fails' for no reason

Same with tradeskillers, can't be a tradeskiller only. If all you want to do is construct you will never get anywhere because your dex will always be too low
and no epics for you my friend unless you know some kind of weapon skill

And a resser can totally forget ever being able to do an epic
My resser is 1% away from maxed out in ressing/int and still only Lvl 30 with basically no points in anything else

Monkey DEX isn't too bad. Dull and/or time consuming but not hard.

Tradeskills are fucked big-time for basically the reasons Kriminal listed compounded by the retardo-specialisation-BS-nonsense-crap-a-thon.

CST actually gives great XP at low levels and both CST and RES give good INT at low levels. Both rapidly hit their practical limits though and combat becomes essential.

Are you saying you've levelled 140million INT XP purely from ressing? If so why? and screenie please :).
