View Full Version : What are people playing now?
I still enjoy nc, but i have thanksgiving break, and christmas off from my extremely busy course of study at my university, and wanted to perhaps try something new for a while, what MMO are people from this board into and would recommend. I already know about all the FPS games, etc so don't bother mentioning those, i'm fully aware, i'm stricly asking about MMORPGs.

The MMORPG of Real Life.
It's extremely difficult. First of all leveling strength and dexterity is taking ages and they start so low. And I start with int capped, wtf? O_o Secondly I have no cash and it's so boring to get some. It feels like real work.
The graphics on my character sucks, how come all other characters look so much better? Especially the women. I can't even change his avatar.
And there's no real choice of weaponry. I suck with all of them. And there's no mob hunting. You literally have to do skills associated with the stat you want to raise. LAME!

Little shadowbane just took part in a 200+ man seige lots of fun. No SL hits either.
Real Life MMORPG? . . right now I'm having anime style recap cutscenes .. . that give me a feel of some japanese style dating sims . .. (no tenacles though :( ) and I think .. damn . . my teenage years were good . .. what went wrong .. then I released I left everything for one girl .. and found myself going . . wtf, mate. But life is good and I suppose it was fate .. cause it brought me to get on the net and eventually find neocron :D

Neocron, because its the only mmorpg that requires skill, and its fun...but yeah everyone needs a break eventually...
Ok, fine, you twisted my arm, i'll just stick with NC. I need more friends in-game though. (I know, personal issue).
I took a break for like a month and a half, still trying to get back into the groove, but there's still no other MMORPGs I play. Lots of other games, but no MMOs.... I've found myself really feeling like RTS games for some reason, Age Of Mythology, Rise Of Nations, Warcraft 3, etc....
Final Fantasy XI, and lots of Xbox Live stuff.

Nope the zerg alliance 4 clans vs 4 clans. Preety laggy no crashes though or sinks.

Lost count of the number of times i replayed fallout 2.
If u can get your hand on it still, I suggest u try out grim fantango (adventure comedy) by lucus arts. Really rocks.
I'm currently, playing Postal 2 :angel: Nothing like playing a mass murdering psychopath.

Im playing a ton of the Specialists atm. Damn its the best mod ive ever played for HL. Very very addictive!!!!!Reminds me of teh Matrix.

I'm playing Gothic 2 and SW: KoToR atm, both on the PC. They're both sweeeeet, and I highly recommend them. :D

I hope youre using only pistols and kung-fu?
Using the agent skin and running about with a desert eagle only and slow motion is sweet. Also kicking someones weapon when he thinks hes being a smart ass.
Im playin fallout 2. Also i used 2 play the specialists tons! Katan, duel socoms, and kung fo only. Usaly just kung fo. Its so awsome taking some1's gun and shooting them with it. And doing tons of backflips an stuff. Best game ever!

Grim, wow.. I haven't seen or heard anything out of that game in years. I must have planted my ass infront of my PC for a couple weeks playing that game. That truely is one of the all time greats. ;)
At the time the graphics and story were amazing! I haven't seen it in a long time, so I don't know how they fair now though.. ;)

and rainbow six: ravenshield (but still dont like it...grr i liked the demo but now i just suck at the game...oh well)...
i canceled all my mmog's...including neocron...they take up too much time for me atm...

Hey how is c%c generals anyways? Ive heard lots of good things about it. It match up to the original red alert? Oh an i been playing lots of typing tutor. An oh ya to my clan on saturn im gettin my vid card tomarow, so see you all on :)

i hate c&c generals, played it an hour and got sick of it.
its to much in the presant. and i just dont really like it much compared to the original...

Ah thats to bad i was hopin generals was good. An why do these game developers always gotta bring bagdad into everything! I dont wanna fight bagdad, i wanna fight mother russia. They actualy have an army and dont have boreing sand everywhere. Plus they got way better acients. Ah another great game is moria. Well i think its called mines of moria. Its like what diablo came from. Im not goinna find it now becouse its late an i wanna sleep. I will try an find it tomarow.
