Most biased ref ive seen throughout the world cup was the only thing that left a slight mark on this glorious final

First of all a massive congratualtions to the the England rugby union squad for taking the title fom the southern hemesphire.
i persoanlly was in the pub at 8.30 am to watch the game....and what a game it was.
End to end action, a few slightly dodgy decisions.
But al the same an excellent match to watch.
England back on top where they belong.
p.s if anyone does not like rugby then please feel free to exit this thread and post elsewhere.

The world cup trophy is officially the Jules Rimet trophy. God, I know the words to an English football song, I'll have my Scottish citizenship revoked.

Being from Melbourne I'm not that big on Rugby. Boring most of the time for me anyway, but last night was an exception. Out of the hundreds of rugby games i've tried to watch, that was the only one that i watched entirely.
Congrats to England. Actually congrats to Wilkinson. :D

I didn't mind England winning though because they haven't won anything for a long time. I rathered England than New Zealand. Australia's final was last week imo. :)
England lost austrailia at football.... but we still pwn j00 at Football and teh Rugby.
And w were unlucky to not win any games in the Rugby League Ashes. All the games were decided by less than 4 points ^^

true englands bigest asset is wilkinson, but to say jonny 15 england 5 would be wrong if you where to say

the aussie played the kicking game just as much, they just had a kicker that was not in the same league as wilkinson
I think the guy was pointing out that Jonny scored most of our points over the tournament.
Sounds like fair play to me.
I wanted more tries, specially since we didn;t get one the 2 previous games.
Wilky and Johnson were the 2 best players in the whole tournament.
England were the best team in the tournament
The final was probably the best final there's been, not just because England won, but the two finest teams on the planet went head to head and for 99 minutes it could of gone either way, the tension was unreal... then we finally tipped it in our favour.
I'm glad we didn't stuff the aussies, it would have devalued the whole experience - winning the way we did was very special.

We just happen to have the best damn flyhalf of his generation which is why we get all the complaining, people are jealous :)
They made me and 28 other people late for work...........female supervisor too, so all we heard was "eh? rugby?"
Nice game, couldn't miss a second although the ref was a little baised, i was expecting him to start scrumming with the aussies....
I think the rest of the team need thanked, Wilko might of saved the day, but the rest of the team got him there.....

Complaining that Wilkinson scored a lot is like saying a footy team suck because their defenders never score.:rolleyes:
You might want to check his try record anyway - it's pretty formidable too. He just didn't get many in this tournament, probably because we played a clever game rather than a risky one.
