I played the trial of this game , i didnt think much of what i saw of it IMHO it just bored me :rolleyes:

I played the beta, couldnt figure out how to do anything.
I did some searches and found threads from the past about this game. Sorry for starting a new thread :rolleyes:
Anyway for anyone wondering this game is pretty cool so far. The learning curve is a lot less than NC.
Only problem so far I'd have to say is the crashes I've had (but then again crashes vary for everyone, depending on a lot of things)
Other than that it's fucking sick so far.

Its fps combat?
Why i like Endless ages:
1) its more FPS than NC is (ie lack of reticle, runspeed not nerfed by weapons etc)
2) More stable than NC (it has never fataled for me)
3) very easy to pick up (their alternate 'MC5' is very very helpful)
4) JETPACKS! w00t!
5) all armours appear on the player model (which look FANTASTIC with the new EXPANSION they brought out). so you can get a cool looking character.
6) you can alter the graphic settings and actually gain performance
7) Arenas: Team match and deathmatch. beats the crap outta NF.
8) ShroomhutACM.wav ;)
only things i dont like are:
1) you can lose all you stuff very easily
2) no way to tell if a mob is easy prey or will whomp you in 1 hit
if i could afford a second MMO, it would be FFXI or this. but as my computer cant handle FFXI very well, i'd have to choose this.

Yeah, pure FPS. No reticle like NC.
This game is SUPER.
Except WHY THE FUCK DO I KEEP CRASHING SO MUCH.

ive got it.. It seems really cool so far... only problem is like you said it crashes and server goes down so much :( and I live right next to the server...
Not a good sign on stability, but game rocks otherwise.
Might be cancelling my neocron account if they do somehting about stability.

Its all about aim with a reticle, not spray'n'pray.
how odd, it never crashed for me....
what setup are you guys running (Windows, cpu, graphic card etc..)?
games desiged well with no reticle are not spray and prey.
even with it, you still miss in NC.
in half life, you miss coz you're lame and cant cope with recoil.
Played it, didnt like it. Great tutorial tho, KK could learn a little
from that one...

Yeah man this is the first MMO I've wanted to pay for in a while...
I'm curious what your RAM is? If RAM is the problem I wouldn't mind laying down a few bucks for some more RAM to actually ENJOY a game, rather than just playing a game to pass the time.

I don't understand how people say apus are skillless and require no skill because of psi aiming, then say other games(with no reticle) are "true" fps and blah blah blah. :confused:

I have 384 or something ram... so yeah its usually the limiting factor in mmorpgs. But it seems to run semi smoothly its just connection lost.... messages pop up every 30 min or so of playing.
@ Shadow Because combat in other fps type games takes place at much greater distances. Weapons in Neocron take longer to lock on the farther you are from people and other classes must lock on to someone for a second before they can hit. Then APU's bust in on the scene like it was quake 2 and blast everyone to bits with HL without having to aim. Watch me play UT instagib and see how long someone survives at point blank range that Neocron fights take place at... ( -.2 seconds)

My brother plays it a lot, it looks like Neocron on LSD, the colours are MAD.
Dosen't look like my kind of game though, its all to weird for me.

Because in FPS games you don't CLICK ON THE TARGET IF THEY'RE MOVING. You have to lead your target, like irl.
In NC you just click and even if the person moved a mile in the amount of time it takes for a monk to cast, they'd still hit them.

Wow that looks like crap. Still maybe I'll try the trial if it's free.
I've started to believe FPS has no place in mmorpgs, best left to true FPS games, but maybe they just gotta keep working on it. I know the majority of mmorpg players are very anti-twitch so I don't expect a very mature crowd in any fps based mmo.

Umm, I tried the trail with noname yesterday and thats what the graphics look like.
