Anyone know of any good films i can "rent" from a shop :P
Im bored and want to watch a film which ones are good and why?

There are hundreds of good films. Any particular type of genre you're interested in? Any actors/actresses? "Recommend me a film" is a bit vague. :)

"The Blues Brothers" springs immediately to mind. "The Mask" if you like Jim Carrey (Can't stand him myself). "Battle Royale" was on the Sci-Fi channel last night - I found if funny (There is a very, very dark, subtle comedy to it). Were you after Classic or Recent comedy?
I dunno, I don't generally go for comedies. Anyone else recommend anything?
Space Balls if you want sci-fi comedy. :)
Blues Brothers is excellent. Highly recommended.

"American Pie" is apparently funny (Just made me cringe). Airplane 1 and 2 are always worth a watch. "Four Rooms" was hilarious. "Lock, Stock, and 2 Smoking Barrels", "Snatch".

See, I don't find Chris Rock as obnoxious as some other Comedians. Take Jerry Seinfeld, I'd like to feed him to a pack of starving raving cannibal bums.

lol i watched battle royale last night it rules especially when that nutty guy chooped that guys head of and put a grenade in the mouth and chucked it in the clinic.Is it true its banned in japan or was?I reccomend oceans eleven (re-make) the fast or reservoir dogs or pulp fiction the fast and the furious and 2 fast 2 furious.I must not forget .

Man o man, I would say 25th hour iiigh. It has da most fit girl I has ever seen, Anna Paquin. And it has a pretty good plot to it and cool to watch.

Whatever happens, dont you ever dare spend even one second of your precious life looking at the gargantuanly miserable film that is 'Dreamcatcher'. Plz plz plz plz dont. I was looking forward to it, and when I saw it, some months back, I was let down to such an extent that it made me wonder about whether I had ever been SO disappointed in a film before. There are just so many things that do not make sense at all in that film. I love sci-fi, but characters have to be believable, at least to the extent of the boundaries that the movie itself make, and these guys.... geez... I dont know if you might like it, but I sincerely hope not. I like Stephen King for both his books and many of the films that have been made of them, but... geez.
I hesitate to ask this question, but did anyone here like the movie? *cries*... please dont say yes, for the sake of humanity. I cover most of the spectrum when it comes to taste in movies. This one just made my stomach turn. Luckily, thats just my opinion. Everyone may of course choose to differ, and that's just fine.... almost.... argh.

battle royale is a great film >.< and the bird with the ball on a chain in Kill Bill is in it :p
Jim Carry > God! although Ace Venturra was his best work IMO (no im not a fuckin kiddie... but i know what comedy i like :p)

Fight Club. some of the lines and some of the plot really messes with your head. stuff like brad pitt appearing 4 times before hes introduced (for a split second each time) is the stuff you notice after 2 or 3 times. or bits like the beginning ("got any thing to say?" "I can't think of anything") and the end (flashback"got anyhting to say?" "I still cant htink of anything" " ah! Flashback humor")
other than that... well... thats it! there are no other great films :p

Good but nothing half as confusing as 12 Monkeys.
Brad pitt is an amazing actor in that film too.
