Who's your dream op war team?

Ok. post your dream team for OP wars.
Few guidance rules to make it more interesting:

Max of 10 people.
Try and mix the classes a bit, all monks would be boring even though it would be the best team.
Only try to use like 3-4 people from your own clan.
People from your own server will be better too.

If I was being totally honest, I would have 5 ppus and 5 apus but I wanted to try and add a little variety with a melee tank and pistol pe too :p

That team works for me... slightly annoying that I had to include fw twice though...
fw as Omen with Saitoh in the team.

Sadly, although Omen is a capable PPU in the hands of Rabbi fang he's not as good as he was in the hands of fw :p

Pretty happy with that team though.. I think...

XaNToRs Rifle PE could substitute for Rizzy's Tank as well...

we had a lot of op wars... jeez...

looking back our mistake was (IMO) that we went after all these ops too early and then had to defend them (we had 8 ops we had to at least have) and sometimes we had like 12..

meanwhile while we were fighting all these diff clans at all these ops... that's all i remember doing back then.. running from op to p...

everyone else was busy lvling... suddenly everyone was close to capped (especially the highly pvp oriented players, usually the power players... mega,sid,psycho...etc etc etc) or at least higher than us... and we started getting whooped badly... then we had some internal turmoil.. that was that... RIP EOB...

also unfortunately.. the retail EOB was never the same as the beta EOB... which was a pity... due to some key members coming into retail way to late...

who did we fight... gang, nda, ss and some i don't remember...
oh yeah... and our own faction... i never understood what the go was there... crackies went a bit spastic and had us on KOS... never understood why.... well it all added spice to the game...

didn't post a dream team.. due to the fact that i am only a casual player (~10hrs over the week and bout that again on weekends... now maybe 4hrs a week.. cos i got no net at home.. and i can't always get the time from work to come on) over the last few months due to unfornate RL (damn you RL) factors...

Ok well my list. This is a bit hard. It's not just about skillz, it's also about teamwork and how well you mesh with the person.

PPU: Polarity(but since he's gone, QD's ppu), Carinth, Pete the PSI
APU: Me, Nemesis_2k(Yes it hurts to say that :p)

Let me explain why.

PPUS: I chose polarity because he's the best, bar none. I was always dying to fight with him, but alas he quit the game before that ever happened. I chose Carinth because it was magic when me and him were together. We were a great team and knew each other well. Pete the PSI because he's the 2nd best PPU(1st best now that Pol is gone) IMO, also the very few times we fought together it was great. Especially that time at Jeriko. :p QD, well me and him share alot of the same philosophy. I'm almost 99% sure we would become an awesome duo after 2-3 fights.

APUS: MEMEMEMEME. Sorry but I trust no other apu like I trust myself. I have experience taking down countless PPUs and some of the best ppus. I also tend to take out some of the more dangerous opponents first. :p I also don't waste time. I chose Nemesis_2k because he's the only other apu I actually feared. :p And he's very good in team combat! I hope he's not reading this, because I hate his clan. :lol: :p

PE: I chose Kramer because even though we argue like mad, we made a great team. He's very useful in op wars, he knows how to take down stealthers, and me and him often go after apus as a priority. I chose Maxipad( :p ) because we make a great team as well. Hell that time that Me, him, Kramer, and 2 ppus decimated all those people at simmons! :eek: Vet has mad skillz, do I need to "splain"?

TANKS: Smokey, GRRR. With his auto-aiming ass, :D. Let's just say I'd rather have him with me than against me. Nish is very laidback, has mad skillz and we get along great. We would probably go up against 10 people knowing we would die, and not care. :p


Honorable mentions

PPU: Lord Mansion, Gravity, Sunrise. I didn't choose Lord Mansion because he really started to hate PvP, or something. I don't know what it was, but he was really good for the few times he fought. I didn't choose Sunrise because even though he's good, me and him argued wayyy too much. That's just not good for teamplay. :(
I didn't choose gravity because we could only pick 10 people. I really would choose him in a fight if I could though. He's very laid back, like Nish, and he's a good ppu. And he always makes me laff. :p


APU: Mayhemmike. I think we MIGHT make a great team, except he crashes too much and I don't trust him. :p Trust is important.

PES: Rade. Rade is good.............at 1v1 and dueling. :p I have no idea how he would perform in a teambattle, but for some reason I don't think it would be too well.

TANKS: Tupac. I have no space for him, if it was 11-12 people I would have chose him. I think we could rekindle our partnership from the old days back when I was in Dark, if we fought together. And he's always making me laugh. FUST. :p


That's it. Did I ramble? :p Oh I didn't choose any spies because their useless in op wars, IMO. Except for stealth and recon, but that's not important enough to waste a "slot". Although I might choose Saza for comedic value. :p

i dont find duels very fun either, its just that its one of the only
ways to get some action nowadays. I wasnt always a loner
either, most of the time I spent in 14K Triad, -STORM- and The

Spies: K4F, only one on this list for sure. Sniper spies don't help IN MY OPINION, I was at an OP fight a while back, helping Gang or something. There were 5 sniper spies around the OP (We were defending). See one, stealth, come out behind them, bang bang, move along. They don't dish out much damage anyways... I could probobly out heal an SH, cuz when I get hit, it's heal, stealth; which happens fast enough that they have not fired the second shot. In that time I find them, stealth up etc... Close up combat spy is the way to go.

Omen in doob's hands was better then in fw's, despite fw giving omen a DS and an uber setup.

I was apu up until psi 95 or so, lommed to ppu to help level snow.

I found myself damn near invincible, and this was pre poison nerf.

I found it boring though so lommed to apu.

QD that was doob, and while the syncs along with stuns and turrets werent killing him he was ressing and buffing snow so i could get rid of the turrets, we both eventually logged out because of the futility of it and logged in when the syncs were gone and got him out.

I listen to the clan leader, i do the required actions, i hav been lucky enough to witness the best interactive Op fights imaginable. I am very lucky.

ive always been a team player - and followed the leadership ranking, pls dont slate me. It says something when a member of the oposition posts saying that im a good op fighter with unbiased opinion.

not 100% upto date on op wars on saturn as i not been involved in one for a while

PPUs only 2 that spring to mind is Harvey Birdman and Gestra and maybe Hawkeye Pears

APUs well id go for Ethereal and Jewish if he was still around

PEs hmm only PE i can think of right now is Ikari, maybe Sgt Murder, see him more in 1v1s or Pking sprees, but hes got a good setup and knows how to aim, so id pick him as a PE to go to war with.

tanks id go with Rizzy and Pub King, id also say Canti and Apoc if they both still played.

all 4 tanks are TG, its funny was trying to remember CM tanks, and i just couldnt think of any of them that impressed me at ops war.

and for the people who are turning this into a popularity contest, with the exception of Jewish, ive hardly spoken to the guys ive named, just purely people ive seen fight or fought against and who have left a memorable impressions of how they held them self in the battle what they did and how they did it

Pol was friggin amazing, I have yet to see a ppu that matches

Not being offensive, but I had the same problems too. I couldn't name any decent tangent tanks either but I knew there were a couple, their names just slipped out of my mind. However, I had no idea when it came to CM, they are all PEs and monks :p Well atleast I tried to add enemies into my team :)

I have only been killed once on omen, and that was when i got stuck in synch at that huge op war where we fought uTs/Synchz/SSC and RdZ at Regeants.

IMO, doob was the master with playing Omen. Fw was VERY good with Omen too, but everyone has their favourite/preffered class, and Fw's was APU.

PPU - Gestra, Eledhbrant & Malachie (Templars) - Great team players. All I have to say is Malstrond and some will know wot i mean.. Best 45 minute battle EVER.. Never thought we would win that battle when we were trapped in the Hack room with only 5 people left with most of TG at the door.... TG fought like troopers. Respect u came back for the 4th time and won (We were outnumbered)

APU - Slaughter, Ethereal & CarniFlex (Templar and After Dark) I have faught along side them and I have to say they are class. Evil!

Tank - Vortex and Rizzy (Templar and ND? I think so.. dont really see Rizzy about at op wars. Come and play!) I wish there was more tanks in op fights... Nice to see a few more out now :D

Spy - DIVIDE (ND) I have to say the divide is the best spy I have ever seen or fought. Full respect, it was an honour to dual u last night in NF.

Now I would add my spy sn9 to the list but Divide is too good... So i'll leave the team at 9 people as i cant think of ne one else....

I hope i did not forget ne one..

Oh if i was going to have a PE the Tadhg(PE) (Templars) Lowtech mad man..

hate to agree with that but its a damn deadly team, omg how i hated soulcutter, liked his tank betterm i remember going to crycrow, took down 3 ND members then i came face to face with soulcutter, man it was all over after that, one quick trip and i was back at the MB lol.

also Fred11(BD if i remember right, was he Kray member?) was a good monk, saw him often causing havoc at the MB.

out of interest do many of the monks you mentioned still play as i dont see pipehitter in ages(that was Magnazan right?) but not seen T72 Pliskin orDia8lo in ages either, not that im complaining, id rather see mag on his PE than a monk same with soulcutter and his tank and rizzy, much rather see him on his tank, was loads of fun when he turned up at the merc battles.

although the hybrids where gods, id not pick them cos i disliked the godlyness of them, simple as, still at least it was over quick with a hybrid, you didnt have to wait for the cavelry to arrive to die when it was a PPU, apu just destroy

All I know is that Pete kept me alive pretty well when me and him took on several XXXX(censored to protect their dignity :p) members at Jeriko.


And he also kept me alive pretty well at a super huge op battle at cycrow, which I took down several ppus but they all got ressed because the rest of my team didn't listen when I said don't let them get ressed. :rolleyes:

T72 cant play his ppu (used to be hybrid) becuase he is still waiting for kk to sort his char out. he has a hell of alot of points missing.

pipehitter is mags and he still plays but on diff chars

diablo has gone back to CS/TFC iirc

same for me.... we where going to hunt at bd hq. and if you where shocked/dmg boosted and I wherent then maybe my ppu was better?
