rofl, from what I've seen, I wont be going there no matter what happens with neocron.

I'm sticking with neocron, but i think it's time to quit a clan whent he true leader leaves :wtf:

If the combat is turned based...then I wont go near it (might give me SWG flashbacks......*shivers*)

I want SSs first. That site tells me nothing about the game....except it has bullet-time (no shit..:rolleyes: ), and what a "MMORPG" is....incase I didnt know...

#6 of the FAQ explains what I tried to tell Jernau but didn't really have the words to do.

The W brothers were not finished with the end of Revolutions......
I didn't realise this would be how they continued it.

Doesn't seem like a game I'd run straight to.
I'm just not getting the right....er...."vibe" from it.
Sometimes I just have a gut feeling for games, and oddly enough it's telling me to be cautious about Matrix online....

Agree with every1, like to know whats its like before i play it. Maybe sign up for beta.... i feel Neocron has a hell of a lot more potential if the Devs get on with it :)

Matrix = fucking good movie

NC = Game

Difference :)

Here are three screenies: http://www.gamer-talk.net/screenshots62.html

The first-glance stuff I like about the game is the similar future/cyber atmosphere it MIGHT have like NC, but you *know* this is going to have a huge player-base, the single biggest flaw, imho, of NC.

Biggest floor was CDV :)

Yup not enough players, hopefully change one day.

Is that third screenie a little show of Turn based combat? Can't read that menu well.

I think that if you were dispointed in SWG then you will be disapointed with Matrix online

Why?

Well I just cant see them letting everyone who plays Matrix online being heros like the people in the film or being the agents either. Most likely 99% of the playerbase will be the 'sheep' in the Matrix living their lives and occasionally pulling off crazy feats that they cant explain and then slowly beginning to feel that there is something wrong with the world.....

Which is exactly the same problem as people playing SWG to be a hero or Jedi running all over the place and changing the course of the game

Just not going to happen

Yup, that 3rd picture really looks turnbased...(a "withdraw" command button).

So NC is my choise for sure.

There's a filmed interview here (http://www.fragland.net/index.php?page=downloads&did=701).
Check out the part when he explains about the combat system. Can you say Mortal Combat? 3:e

Matrix Online, lol

The Matrix Online is based after the 3rd film and the original press release partially spoiled the end of revolutions so they franticly got it pulled from gaming websites.

Its another turn based fighting game which isnt my cup of tea.

"Players also don't directly control their fighter's moves. Rather fighting seems to be based on a rock-paper-scissors system where players choose their fighting styles from a pop-up control panel. "

Enough said.

"Obtain hundreds of powerful Matrix abilities that you can swap out and exchange like trading cards. "

Surely then thers no point in it then as you cant level you just swop what you know......sounds a bit pants really just ends up like a trading card game with 3d graphics

This is pretty much dead on.

IMO, SWG was a good game and I didn't mind not being a Jedi hero or something, so I might check it out (I'm already on the newsletter for beta). I don't really mind the SWG-type fighting system either.

I heard it uses the SWG engine.
