aint multichoice I decided to make a new poll. Its the same deal

And if people actually told the TRUTH about which class they PLAY, then you'd see at least 70% monks.

Reality: when you log into Neocron, you see monks, monks, monks, more monks, a Spy, a PE, a Tank, and many more monks.

I dont think so actually. I think the fact that people log their
monks to do PvP and probably dont use other chars as much now
is the reason that you see alot more monks than any other class.
And the fact that no monk logs his spy when it times for OP
battle..

For example:

A owns a Monk

B owns a PE, a Spy and a Tank

C owns a Tank and a PE

D owns a Spy and a Monk

E owns a PE, Tank and a Monk

F owns a Tank, a Monk 2 spies and a PE

In a combat situation you would see 2/3rd being monks even tho
people have a pretty even amount. That combined with the fact
that alot of people let their non-monks collect dust now creates
monkacron. *shrug*

there are alot more ACTIVE monks than other classes, kk just need to make all the other classes better, boost tanks, PEs are alright, and spies need all the drone stuff fixed. Might help

In my oppinion that doesnt seem so BAAAAAAAAD as folks like to point out.

Im almost certain when I started playing nc on pluto back in september or november 2002 and up to like jan, if there was 250 ppl online on pluto 130 was tanks easy. And all classes felt kinda overpowered vs me the spy..

I agree. It's silly to consider them one class like rifle PE and pistol PE. APU and PPU are different as night and day.

I beg to differ.....PPU AND APU are neccessary in battle. They are both overpowered (granted in different respects), and overused. I think for arguments sake that both should be grouped together.

Even if they both were overpowered(because apus never lose 1v1 right? :rolleyes: ) and overused(even though apu's debuffs would be useless against an enemy without a ppu, effectively making the ppu the core problem again :)) that doesn't change the fact that those classes ARE different as night and day.


Look at the diff between a rifle pe and a pistol pe, then a rifle spy, pistol spy, an droner spy. Now look at the diff between apu and ppu. The only similarity is that their both monks, that's it.

Nearly everyone has an alt that is a monk or is a monk. I doubt it has changed as when someone dies they just log their monk on. (Yes, even I had)

Monks are just so useful excepcially ppu.

looks like pretty even numbers ive played the same monk since december of last year(when they were way underpowered) and im still not cap so i think that the whole thing about everyone starting new monks and lvling them up in the what 2 months since "they became" over powered is total crap....but i could very well be wrong

I run into a fairly good mix of Spy, PE, Monk, and Tank players. My second account is a monk, but until I've capped my Spy I probably won't be playing on it much. I've never played a monk in the past two-plus years I've been playing NC, so I wanted to try something different.

Just because someone's a Monk doesn't mean it's because they're following a trend. Some of us haven't played one before.

monks should NOT be in a different option for APU and PPU

people are not trying to guage why we have the PPU'ocron problem or the APU'ocron problem it is the monk, they are one class with a split specialisation path.

the poll has showed just how many people have and play monks and although many people have highlighted they have PE, SPY and tanks, i would say that a vast majority of those people claim "i play my PE or i play my tank most" when in fact they only ever turn up on their monk.

obviously there are always exeptions to the rule, like people who have only one account such as rade.

I've been playing the same Tank for 8 months. Played arround with my bro's monkeh for a while, but i'm a lot better at playing my tank than a monk. Thank god my bro came back and rerolled the damn thing to a PE :p .

PiOhPah - 70/67 rifle pe
REMUS - 58/66 h-c tank

Ive enjoyed REMUS the most by far, im at the top of my game with him att he moment although i think im going to either go BD or Biotech the latter if the gm's sort out my biotech symp.

the only class i have trouble with are monks, ppus and a hybrids (dont laugh its only one monk and hes got a very intelligent set up)

Ppu - capped, only for MC5/fights/annoying ppl really :)

Spy - almost capped researcher/repairer - always stays logged on my second cimputer when I play one of the others.

Tank - Fresh melee tank, gonna own you all soon with herc and melee pa hawr hawr *coff* I mean you will have something too shoot at... OMG I'm NERFED?!? nooooo... *coff*
