Cable over here supports it, since most of the people from down there emigrated to here, and are a good portion of a minorty in this country. Actually two floors above me (it's a 3 floor housing apartmant) and two doors away from me, I've got neighbours from those parts. That's how dense we are in this area.

So the cable company went "WTF, GIVE THEM TEH CHANNELZ, THEY'LL BUY OUR BOXEZ AND WE LIVE HAPPY HAPPY $$$$$", and guess what, almost everyone has it.

In Santiago, Chile it costs €37 a month for a 256k line.

In Curitiba, Brazil it costs €63 a month for a 1Mb line.

In Estonia, it costs €37 a month for a 512k/128k line

Only recently in Ireland it costs roughly around €50 a month for 512k/128k line (to some areas only). 56k Modem people have it worse with double billing.
