Can someone please explain something to me... No matter how many problems occur the volunteer staff will completely deny having any real connection to KK. But suddenly when it comes to in game events they have the power to modify the terms of service between you and KK?

The rules specifically say that you cannot exploit a bug in game to your advantage. If in the game say, they allow stealthing and turret dropping, and they do not program it to dissalow turret dropping when stealthed, then that is a DESIGN OVERSIGHT... not a bug. And thats only IF the programmers didn't do it ON PURPOSE. Which players do not know. Which is exactly why the rules say what they do.

If the rules simply said that you cannot use "exploits", then they could go around banning everyone without breaking the terms of the agreement simply because they didn't like what they were doing. Noone could relax and play the game without worrying if KK was going to decide they didn't like what he was doing and ban him. And of course noone would risk money on the game.

On the other hand, when dealing with a bug or glitch in the programming code, we can be 100% sure its not something that was done on purpose. Those are also the things which are going to be more likely to cause more damage to the game if used. Thats probably why the rules say "Do not exploit a bug in the game"

If KK comes out and specifically says "Don't do this" even though its not a bug, then thats amending the rules, which the terms of service allows for. And it makes perfect since if a certain design oversight is potentially damaging to the game.

If the GM's give warning about a particular action in the game that is an instance of what is covered under the rules, like using the fact that turrets in the UG don't switch over when the OP is captured to your advantage, all they are doing is applying the rules to that situation. (Don't exploit a bug)

But what the heck is up with GM's spawning in game and telling people stuff like "Dont use cover to fight mobs" ?? GM's are volunteers from the game community, they do not work for KK, and they state this everytime something goes terribly wrong like all the servers are down and people are asking them for info. So how do they have the authority to modify our agreement with KK?

Anyways they don't know anymore than we do what was intended by the game designers and what might be a design oversight. And if they are told so by them, then we ought to be told as well. Further more in the particular case of players being able to strike mobs without fear of retaliation at a particular moment all that would have to have been done for this to be fixed was make player shots originate from the same place Mob shots snap to on a player. Which means there is about a 99% chance that allowing players to hide behind cover and shoot mobs was done on purpose to make the game realistic.

KK if you want to change something like that you ought to make a specific statement if its something serious enough, and if its not that serious just leave it alone until the next patch and change it then. Otherwise shut the gms up about it....

I understand your concerns but the forums are not the place for this. If you want to discuss the GM system then please put your questions to the helpdesk.
