Lately i deceided to clean up my pc a bit. So i ran adaware and deleted like 400 files and stuff. So then i decided to run an anti-virus program called Avast!. Now it says it found a virus. The file that is infected is called win1pcfg.exe. It's located in c:\windows\system32\. It says the virus found is named Win32:Trojan-Gen. Someone plz respond so i know whether i can delete this file or start backing up my important files so they dont get infected and can reformat or something.

its safe to delete it, most viruses that get onto my pc (which is very rarely) are commonly found in the windows32 section. Should be fine.

winipcfg.exe is a valid file distributed with some versions of windows.

(It's just a GUI version of the command shell ipconfig.exe)

win1cfg.exe isn't.

Go ahead and get rid of it ;)
