Halloween Bash Over

A big thank you to all the people who helped (Alex Starr and ZeroSanity among others) and attended (about half of the Pluto server so it seemed!) !

My apolgies for the delays and inconviences.

I hope everyone enjoyed the storytelling and the finale ;) :D


Perhaps my NExT (lol I love this pun) event will come off a bit more smoothly.

here is my report on the Halloween bash:


halloween bash, or Halloween massacre?

Today, Heavyporker, and Kirja Iljusha presented the Halloween bash at the Crystal cavern in Wasteland mountain sector D08.

This party was really a horror story.. for the organisers. As people came to the cavern, when they entered it, all they faced was a great bunker wall blocking the entrance. Since the organisers had worked with Gms to create the best settings possible in the cavern, they had closed of the area to avoid having curious eyes take a sneak peak at the scenery. Unfortunatly, when the party was suposed to start, no GM was in the area to open the place.

Time passed, and people started to get impatient. They began too riot, demanding that a GM would come and open the cavern.

Unfortunatly, Heavypoker couldn't do much since all the GMS that he had worked with where not available.

And so 20, 30 minutes later, people started going through the wall not caring to wait anymore. Unfrotunatly for them an Elite STORM Bot was guarding the place, and started "cleaning up" the place of intruders after having shouted several warnings to leave the area.

A lot of runners got shot, fortunatly there where a lot of psi users that came to the party and that could help out the dead runners. It took a small moment before everything got fixed and the cavern was finally officialy open.

And at 15:30 Neocron time, people could finaly sit down at the neatly arranger spectator place and listen to heavyporker's horror story.

Although he did his best to creat the right mood for the horror story, the runners attention span appeared no to be very long. The story was often interupted by spamers, trouble makers, and other Pu's alike.

But Heavyporker and Kirja didn't despair. They continued to tell their stories, there where tree, with the last one having a little extra for the public. The story talked about a group of MC5 soldiers that attacked the very same cavern that we where in. And he ended up by talking about a great massacre and asked the public to follow him.
As we entered another chamber of the cavern, a woman warned us that "Death was lying ahead". And indeed, we ended in a corridor filled with dead bodies everywhere.

And there where even some MC5 drones in the end (lifeless ones of course).

And so ended the party. It was about 4.30am Neocron time by then. And the moment it was finished, people started, or more exactly continued, their shooting spree.

I must admit that I was quite impressed by the efforts the organisers had done to make this cavern a good halloween cavern. With a story tellers podium, a "haunted room" and of course all the necessary extras for the runners convinience (GR, gog, Citycom). But alas, even if the event was well planed out, apparently it didn't hold enough to keep the runners interest long enough. But, there will always be another celebration, and another oportunity to remake such a well planed event, even greater.

This was a great event and i liked ur stories and the arrangement of the cave was real nice, the way up was hard for everyone and i was happy that i managed to get up and down .

Even with the spammers in the room the storytellers did great work (the spammers are the reason for KK to do a "Silence" spell as in SB). So i didn't got the first story complete so i hope u post it, if noone did screenies (even i didn't took any ^^).

I liked the Second NPC great Text on her , and even the Stormbot as he killed me twice ^^.

Go on do more like this it's life for this game!!

Kudos to you for planning the event. Decorations and all.

Unfortuantely, i woke up 4 hrs after the arranged event time and by the time i got there it was over.

Sounds like I missed a great event. Well, that is my fault for having a weekly Friday schedule of stuff to do. Nice one HeavyPorker and all supporting staff. Glad it went well.
