Why is the forum time GMT ?

same on the german forum aswell

when the servers are hosted in germany

EV1.net (formerly Rackshack) do cheap hosting in a co-lo centre there.

They were probably used for simple commercial reasons/contacts.

A bit of cursory checking shows up connections between Bastien Hoyer (DaFire ... he's certainly worked on the forum previously), Martin Siedler of wildcat.de (hosted on the same server at ev1) and Team Artwork (www.teaw.de) who did the design for Wildcat.de , and who are the registrants for the netblock that Dafire's personal page sits on.

You'd have to ask them (or KK) exactly what the relationship was between them all ;)
