Seems like right now there's nothing really distinguishing about factions other than what the players make of them. What if you got a SMALL skill bonus after completing an epic within a faction. For example, 2-3 points added to:

FA - Construction
TG - HC
BT - Implant
Crahn - PPW
Next - vehicle use
PP - Research
BD & Tsunami - PC
TT - Weapon lore
DRE - barter
CM - HC
CA - RC

So on and so forth. Not a permanent bonus, just a 2-3 pt bonus after the epic for as long as you stay with that faction. After all, FA are supposed to be technologists, Crahn psi masters, TG and CA militarists, etc

I think its a nice idea, but a few changed imo (note I haven't changed all of them). I think these bonuses should only be avalable in the faction HQs (for PP in their lab), and should only be like 5 points.

FA = Research + Construction.

TG = PC and RC.

BT = Implant.

Crahn = PPW.

NExT = VHC.

PP = Construction.

Black Dragon = RC and PC.

TS = RC and HC.

TT = Construction.

DRE = Barter.

CM = HC, RC and PC.

CA = HC, RC and PC.

Heh, not much use to next, having vhc use in their faction HQ!

Maybe make it dependant on your faction symp.

I like the idea but it would require a great deal of thought. Having +10 research/construction in Tech Haven/PP HQ sounds good to me though (allied clans only or some such).

I'm against it since many ppl play monk, going to crahn would give them a unfair benefit versus other factions, ppl would make a tradeskill clan in a other faction etc...would get very unbalanced if u ask me.

either way, a very good idea! I think that making it dependent on faction sympathy would be cool. (FS * 0.1) should make it quite nice.

Also, some factions should get bonuses only in their HQs, while others would need to get it in the world at large, too.

Mabey it should be if yer in the faction and are in the faction base you get the bonus. Or mabey each faction hq would have a place where skills are higher (like a doctors office for implant, or a shop for cst, or lab for reaserch)
