jus bought a stick of 512mb pc2100, opened it up and the sticker on it says pc2700
... thats not normal rite >.<

and will having pc2700 512mb and pc2100 128mb runnin at same time fuck my m0b0 up?

it wont fuck up your mobo, but you will get all kinds of errors in anything you do. return it and get the right stuff.

actaully i jus called the ram manufactor and they said most systems can run both at the same time now so i shouldnt have any problems and since they accidently put the 2700 in the case instead of 2100 just go ahead and keep it ;P

I dunno. if it works then sure keep it in. but never listen to those service fuckers. once one of them tried to sell me a 128 stick of rd 800 ram for 300 bucks :/

well they gave me 2700 instead of 2100 ;P ... and dont 2700 cost a bit more?

in england, where I work anyway, PC2700 is cheaper than PC2100

The PC2700 will run at the same speed as the PC2100 because it pulls it down, this will generally cause errors, as the PC2700 isnt made to run at that speed... Also what FSB is your CPU running at,

and at ur work, maybe the pc2700 is cheaper bcuz its generic and the pc2100 isnt? or the pc2100 is higher quality
