Is it just me or did this patch make the synch errors much worse? I get them so much more...as well as when I get that crazy serverside reposition thing...that moves me into to nowhere then boots me. :( Anyone else noticed anything more often?

Since the patch was released.
I ave nothing to fault neocron with.
Only 1 Fatal so far.
NO LAG hardly.
Good FPS.
No unknowns.
No Sync problems.
No random placement.

All that you said...got worse for me. =( Although...lately my computer in general has been "laggy" and I dont know wtf to do lol

Well i remember some things which may help a lot.
First Do the System Tools : Disk Cleanup.
Then De frag (Takes ages)
Then Do u use Auto updater?? if so there is a file which Causes SEVEER slowdown to your computer and u have to get rid of it.
I did and saw a speed increase (i forgot it but can search it up for u if needed)

Yes I have done de-frag and all that good stuff...although I do have auto-update on....hmmm mhhmhmhmhm mm....sounds intresting hopefully thats the problem =\
i noticed zoning takes a little longer than usual
and i get the constant sync yet logged in bug a bit more often

Hmmmm well.
Gimme a second to look it up but i know u need to go into Add/Remove files
Then locate all the updates.
And i will look now.

Oh and, the lag on my computer is more in intervals...like if I move the mouse around it will go fine, lag, go fine, lag, etc etc and it switches like every 5 secs or so

Hmmm.
Well i cant find the sight yet (it was a System shock 2 Forum thread:eek: ) but i posted on the forum and hopefully someone will get back to me.
If could actually help if u copy and pasted your file names onto this thread so i can locate the buggy 1 from my pile :)
i only have about 10 so it wont be hard to find.

I suggest u turn off windows update personally because u get updates on when a new thing is out.

Go to My computor.
Control Panel.
Add/Remove programs.
Then scroll down untill u see things like Windows HOTFIX (686858) blah blah blah.
And copy and paste about 15 starting from the top so i can match up against mine :)

check your machines for trojans, or background stuff runnning.
I get what you mention when the Virus checker is running.
Havent had a fatal for two weeks now. Running very smoothly.
hmmm...I only got one file likee that, windows98q(weirdnumbers)update lol
I think I got something on my comp...I need to know how to fix it :( also whenever I play music its laggy as well...mainly realplayer but it happens to other things as well. =(((

Ehhhrmm.
are you sure u havent installed TO many programs on your comp??
Because if u have and still have some free space (even if its a lot)
it can cause instability and also if u have only just started getting this problem have u recently installed anything??
if u have and dont mind doing it.
Try uninstalling and see if that helps?

hehe kk cool, umm also (not sure if this is breaking any rules...) but I got kazzalite running on my comp. Well I use it. Thought that might be a needed piece of info although I could be wrong :D

Anti-Virus program.
Ad-Aware http://www.lavasoft.de/
Make sure your all patched up
get a firewall (Zonealarm has free version)
quick way is to open a DOS box and type NETSTAT -a
It will tell you all your open ports and who is connecting to it.

Aha!
You may think Kazaa light is spyware free
but most of the time it isnt.
I reconmend running a Spyware Scan to get rid of and Spyware on your PC
this can cause Lag,comp slowdown , and unstable files.
U might have found the problem.

Search for Spyware Removers on google.
What spyware does is up load a load of browsing info from your computer the Kazaa Computer meaning u suffer sudden lag as your computer uploads and once it starts the uploading this can boot u out of neocron or cause Neocron to fatal cause of instability.
so get rid of that spyware and it might run smoove :)

heh .. . hit ctrl+alt+del and count how many tasks you have running at one time .. maybe check through the list to see if there's something in there that you dont' really need .. . try closing them one by one and check how your computer runs after each one is closed . . . .

Hmmm i doubt that would be causeing all the crap that he is gettin.
But spyware could be it.
Thats why i dont use things like kazaa..... too risque.
it constantly uploads browsing habbits and data that has been receved by your modem meaning that sudden lag just exploads
and makes u slow to a halt almost.
while this is taking place your computer will get freaquent halts untill data is uploaded boom 2 mins l8r it will happen again.
this can prevent sever info being shifted to your modem meaning Unknowns and lag can occure more often.
if your running 56k modem your even more affected because u get such bad updateing that its bound to be causeing fatals as your modem suddenly stops updating neocron and moves to spyware thus booting u out.
it will happen even on your desktop and when you connected to internet.

I got dsl, also just found 3 things of spyware, and unistalled some crap...Im gonna re-boot and see whats what and Ill get right back to ya =)

hmmm so far it appears good...no lag...although this might just be because of re-boot Im not sure. But it seems good, Ill try playing some music hehe
hmm I noticed a small hint of lag right now...could theme songs be the cause of it possibly? Like a desktop theme ya know? Edit: Oooops I mean like the lil sounds it makes when opening things, minimizing, etc etc...

well my startup theme is from Resident evil
and it stutters sometimes but i just ignore.

Hmmm the lag appears about the same maybe a little less. But that wasnt really my problem, it was more the Synch errors, and servisde re-pos, and not being able to click or move anything.

and try adjusting them
maybe its to much data to shift :)

if its on u get more Foliage and shrubs in the wastes.
This can cause lag but imo i think if its off it makes the game look drab.
Experiment in wastes and see what u think :)
