This is my LS theme, this is basically what my desktop looks like, I wrote a few of my own modules.

Also added an auto color changer to the theme, and even blending colors mouse overs.

For those who have asked, the thing to the left of the system tray. Thats multiple desktop shows the desktop in miniview. You can switch between 1 of 4 desktops.

at the time it was said that xp supported that kinda crap by default but its pretty clear it doesnt as when you install the downloaded themes nothign changes appart from teh desktop piccie.

Ok....for themes, the best place ive found for the average pc user that doesnt like to pay for ANYTHING online! is http://www.themexp.org or just do a search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=windows+xp+themes) for xp themes on google...... But every theme ive tried needs either Style XP (which has 30 days free trial then u have to pay BS) so use an alternative program like this (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=windows-1250&oe=windows-1250&q=uxtheme.dll+patch) ....bla bla....do what is tells you to do and then you can use any theme you want for free :)

Also http://www.hoverdesk.net is good but you need to pay for that after the free trial ends. :(

Well those 4 folders that I put in the right and corner were belive it or not a joke.

And none of the other progs on my DT have anything to do with NC, apart from the NC shortcut, the test server launcher and a third party prog made by devils grace, I think, which you can use to explore all the compressed NC graphics.

EDIT: oh and the patchlog, which was made by FBI and which shows you in more detail about what was changed by patches by looking at log files

its just blackbox, somewhat light light version of afterstep windowmaker. There's also another blackbox "clone" fluxbox

you dont really need anything more than a clean desktop and a menu :)

gnome is probably good if you dont try and compile the shit yourself (and there are alot of other stuff I find annoying with it).. That has to be the most annoying thing I've done in my life. ran it for 20 minutes and removed it.

Kde is alot better but still far to bloated to be a prim desktop environment for me.. As office computer desktop Kde is probably the best of the gnome/kde thingys tho.

I don'z want an elite desktop. I want one that works. And CDE does that pretty well. And I'm not running XFree (it's a Solaris box). If I wanted a real clean desktop I would have problably chosen olvwm. (I did use it for quite some time)

No you prolly run openwin. I run solaris aswell on my sparc. But found it much more pleasant to compile the gnu tools and get blackbox going. I have a hard time with KDE, CDE, Windows, Gnome type of environments.
