Just got meself a new Graphics Card, GeForce FX5600 256mb DDR AGP 8x
Can't wait to get home and whip it in.
What Graphics cards have have everyone else got? And will i see much of an improvement? I am Changing from a GeForce MX440 64mb
same as yours, mines a Ultra tho :p

I have one too :) it was like walking through the gates to the paradise when I changed my gf2 mx400 32mb -> gf fx5600 256mb :p I hope you will like it also.
With my recent upgrade a GeForce 4 Ti4200. I must admit I am not too fond of the GeForce FX series (but its not terminaly bad, so no worry), so I opted for a card of the previous generation.
Before that, I had an GeForce 2MX I used to play NC with.
My graphics cards (In various PC's):
ATi Radeon 9700 Pro 128Mb
ATi Rage Fury Pro 16Mb
nVidia GeForce4 Ti4600 128Mb
nVidia GeForce3 Ti500 64Mb
nVidia GeForce2 Ti 64Mb
3dfx Voodoo 5 5500 PCI 64Mb
3dfx Voodoo 3 3000 PCI 16Mb
Yes, I DO have 7 PC's in my house :lol:
You will notice a nice improvement over a GeForce 4MX 440 :)

well I get around 120 fps average... ~50 at OP wars now and that was also what I got at tezla when there was 60 ppl there fighting :)

Still get 20 or less fps in NF
yea but for some reason i get silly FPS... I havent even done much to my settings...
Anyway enough of that, or the nerf fenix cries will start again :rolleyes:

GF3 Ti 400
I get the odd 'ATi' glitch (subway etc) but I get superb FPS.
In the last op-war I was in, I got a solid 60fps at 1280x1024 with all details but vegetation on.
I wub my Radeon 9700 Pro :)
Yeah I got a Radeon 9700 Pro...Was best card for a while, now the 9800 is good...
Hmm GF 5, Crap Card, i will give ya a fiver for it....Save you wasting your time (Jokes).....

XP3000 400mhz fsb running at 2.1 ghz.
Ive also got 2 gig of DDR 2700 :)
that explains your fps rating cause fps is cpu related in neocron
btw i hate you for that comp setup i want one :(

The speed of your xp2600 depends on which core and fsb speed it is, it could either be 1.97 ghz, 2.08 ghz or 2.13ghz.... anyway, ill stop being a spartass techie... and uh... get back to work before i get a slap off me boss for being on this forum again :lol:

I got a GeForce FX 5200 ULTRA 256 MB of RAM I think
im on p4 2ghz
just over 700 meg ram
gforce 4 mx (boooooo i want a new card bit it will do for now)
600k connection and bout 3 empty plates and several glasses lying around waiting to b taken downstairs

well im not all that bothered about OP wars, i get about 90 FPs and roughly 40 at big battles, which is enough not to warrant spending another £300 on my already over specked rig.
XP3000 400mhz fsb running at 2.1 ghz.
Ive also got 2 gig of DDR 2700
I have the same CPU but with 3gig of DDR 3200, i find the 400Mhz memory to work better with the CPU, alot less quirks since i upgraded my ram.

90 to 110 fps in my apartment
50 to 70 in the wastes
40 in a very crowded Plaza 1 (25 to 30 with all windows open)
I plan to buy the FX5900 Ultra after I buy a new montior.:D
I am still debating CRT vs. LCD, though, but that is another topic.

I have an Asus A7N8X Duluxe which can do upto 3GB (it has 3 RAM slots) of RAM, but the fastest 1GB sticks I've been able to find is PC2100, unless I've been looking in the wrong places.

Nearly all boards that I have used that can take PC3200 DDR will only accept it in the first 2 banks or upto a 1.5/2 gb limit :confused:
GF4 ti4800se .. Basically it's a overclocked ti4600 with AGP-8x and 128Mb of RAM. I hate my card 'cause I get like 5 to 8 FPS in op fights @ Tezla. That's why I hate fighting there :\

AFAIK AMD's only go upto 2.2 ghz on current retail :confused: (thats the XP3200 barton)

2.6... thats a XP2600 not a 2.6... o_O
AMD's arent like Intel's. They have a codename depending on their clock speed and fsb speed...
When you said 2.6 AMD anyone would put 1 and 1 together and come out with a 2.6ghz athlon... no such thing retail yet. Not the XP2600 Athlon that you actually meant o_O

XP3200 = 2.2ghz CPU (400 fsb)
XP3000 = 2.2ghz CPU (400 fsb)
XP3000 = 2.167ghz CPU (333 fsb)
XP2800 = 2.083ghz CPU (333 fsb)
etc etc
The name mean's dick really when working out what the speed is, thats why when you said you had a 2.6 i presumed you had a 2.6ghz PC and not a XP2600 as a XP2600 runs at 1.917ghz on a barton core...

this is the first board i came across that would take all 3 GB, you can buy the memory from Corsair or one of their few stockists.

I'm surprised Fenix doesn't have some top of the line video card o_O, he's always bragging about his 1337 FPS, maybe he knows something we don't. I got a TI 4200, uber card for the dollar.

Well since this is a video card discussion ill ask it. Im a gonna upgrade from my old ass Geforce 2 MX 200 (not bad for a piece of shit card), and was just wonderin how all you ATI guys have been doing on Neocron and games like BF 1942, Jedi Knight 2 and Ghost recon and etc. Wanna know if ATI 'till has bad drivers or not.
from many reviews i would stick with Geforce and not go with aTi. Personaly i like Nvida better then ATI for many reasons.. I just bought my Geforce 4 4800SE and it smokes. :) I was gonna get a Geforce FX 5600 256MB but reviews on newegg and other sites basicaly said for gaming the G4 4800 is still the best for gaming over the FX 5600.

my Gforce 4800 SE is faster in benchmarks :/ new Geforce cards suck big time :/ ( and i am a nvidia fan)
Ati are far far better atm :/
the only Gfrorce FX better that the 4800 SE by any worth while margin is the 5900 with 256 DDR mem and its mega bucks :(
i have meh a GeForce 128mb IMO does the do for me able to play all games fully spec ( although my comp roxor to which helps italong nicley :))
