This weekend i was on a lanparty here in holland (NetgameZ 2003b) had a really good time and there were over 1200 ppl....

I was wundering this is my second time i went to a lanparty but hows the lanparty is america or deutschland are they bigger cooler ?

how many of you been to a lanparty and which ones outside in a tent or just in a big hall ??

do you guys mostly have internet so you can play mmorpg or just computer apart where you can chat and stuff ?
and music big screens competitions ?

i hate big lanpartys, the best ones are when you get 10-20 friends tops, and play games.

i go once a month to a smaller group. its waaay more fun.

I don't usually go to those huge mass LAN parties. And anyways, where I live in America we don't have any gigantic places where they hold LAN parties on a 1000+ person scale around me. Biggest we have is maybe about....I don't know....100 person LAN place.

I usually just go have lan parties with small groups of friends on the weekends, like maybe 10 people, as the one I'm going to this weekened.

Usually play WarCraft III, some half life mods, maybe Neocron, other random stuff like Star Craft

i have been to several different.

theres the 10 man meeting thats pretty fun and will often drag out quite a bit.

theres the middle thing with 50-150 persons which can also be stretched.

and then theres the REALLY big in the 1k+ attendees those can be really great ( for limited amounts of time hehe )

i have been to fair amounts of 30 man ones... (incase people didnt know inject on uranus owns a Lan / net gaming arena ^.^)

Come to sweden and try out DreamHack ;)

Its the biggest lan in the world with like 5000 ppl.

It was really cool to be there, soo many ppl. When u went up a floor u could c the area with the computers, was like thousands of stars :)

5000 ppl :eek: man thats kewl when i get a bit older and get my own car there will be no doubt bout it that ill pay sweden a little visist :) hehe

ive checked the dreamhack website but it says a ticked costs 1500 SEK ? how much is that in euro's ?
