Hi,

I was wondering what level you need to research rare parts without breaking one ? I know the more the better what level should I actually have to be able to do so ?

And regarding MC5 parts, which skill level is needed ?

Plz tell me the level needed , i'll figure out myself, if I want implants, op bonus, machina gloves etc.. ? Is It 150, 190 ? more... ?
Thanks

Ive failed mc5s at 185 research, and i had over 100 int. And when i say failed ive also broken 2

depends on the tech level of the part. The maximum you'll ever need is 220 in research...double the tech lvl of exp parts and mc-5 parts. More than 220 just means the you will complete the iding faster. At 220 nothing will ever break.

Best get it to 155, wear a machina research glove and do the mc-5 parts at a lab for the +50 bonus.

Musta been infuriating...

Hunt for hours to get a single part... then you actually get on eso they make it blow up..... it somehow dosent have a good feeling at all

i think best way to research stuff is:

double of the TL of the item and everything should be fine

lowtechs TL 60 = 120 res
and so on....

so for the expensive stuff it makes 110 * 2 = 220 (as mentioned above)

Thanks for the answer :)

But I was meaning by not failing actually not BREAKING the parts. Failing is no big deal, but breaking a part is enraging.

So regarding rare parts how much do I need not to break them ?
something like 166 with op+buff is ok ? I should be able to reach 181 with the glove.

double TL to not fail/break; if u have a chance to fail u have a chance to break and vice versa.

Nope i break them at TL 222 with 104 INT. I need the glove now. Funny thing is i never have to try more then once i either get it or i break it first try. And the one's i've broke were both MC5 parts what luck i tell you. And one was my part and one was a good freinds part. What luck just glad it was mine and a freinds and not someone in P1. People have a hard time trusting Researchers.

And yes like everyone else said double the TL

220 =/

although with 150-180 you can research 110's without to much trouble...

There is *always* a chance to break parts no matter what you're skill level is.:( But the *least* chance is to have at least 220 research.

Nah we had 20 mc5 parts in 1 day. Completed 2 chips in a day :)
Maybe im a nub but im sure if i could control it that i wouldent fail, and hours for mc5??? it isnt THAT hard

My skill is 137 natural research (147 with advanced nerves 2), 163 with const3 and 213 at factory, my INT level is only 79.

Yesterday I was ressing about 50 rares, L's and T's = 100% success from 1st attempt (4 PE parts, new machina gloves parts and CS part :P). E's - from about 15 E's, I had 1 fail without breaking it.
