Flying vehicles.

When we getting these babies? They are DOY vehicles i believe but do we get them before the DOY expansion is released?

its been proposed a zillion times before to have flying vehicles.. with the anti air rocket launchers i thought they were actually going to implement it.. but every post ever written that has been answered has gotten a "There will never be flying player vehicles in the game" so i wouldnt count on them changing that decision of theirs.

but wtf.. i LOOOOOOOOOOOVE this game anyways =D

The only "official" word I've seen on the subject is that the DoY Glider, Assault Glider, Bomber & Carrier were removed from Test Server so they could concentrate more on current Retail builds.

Have I missed some major policy change somewhere, or are you being . . . puckish, Forseti ? ;)

A glider doesn't really fly, it hoovers above the ground. :)

The gliders as good as fly, and the bombers/carriers are REALLY GOD DAMN COOL to fly.

They rock. Shame about the vehicle use restrictions. =/

So Gliders WILL make it into retail? Because I think most everyone here on the forums have the concept that gliders are included in the classof flying vehicles.

For your information:

-Hovering is where you remain suspended in one place in the air

-Flying is where you move through the air on wings or in an aircraft


So, I'm sad to hear that when the "gliders" eventually come out, we won't be able to fly away from the vehicle depot. Seems pointless putting them in.

[edit] Gliding means it's not using any engines to propel itself. I don't know what the DoY "gliders" use (having never seen them. [end edit]

Soon after we finish testing....... the "flying" vehicles have a major zoning problem. 90% of the time you end up in a spin after zoning and then your veh. blows up from falling. So this would be one reason why its not in retail yet. ;)

They just use AG tech to displace their weight..
