He's not that good an illusionist actually. He's just good at whoring himself to the press. In fact he clearly realised some time ago that his "magic" wasn't good enough to pay the bills, hence the idiotic stunts.

you can easly go 44 day's without food, with the right prep you can go a lot longer without any food..
First you need to build up some weight, you do this by not eating for a few day's then eating more than normal, you body react's to you not eating by storing the food you eat as fat..
You keep this up for a few month's and you can build up a good reserve which will last you..
before you start the fasting, you should eat a lot of sugery food's and fatty food's, but very little the day before doing so.
now your prepped you can last a long time without any food..

frozen in a block of ice you can wear thermal underclothing and shock horror be warm enough to stay inside for a long time..
now with heated underclothing you can stay inside even longer..
It's like getting out of handcuff's, you don't need to pick to lock, just dissloacte your thumb and they slide off, given you've prepped by making a good fist when getting cuffed..

Just wanted to ask AliG if he's sure he's not mistaking this alleged 'revealing of the truth' about Davids ice block stunt with the Masked Magicians attempts to undermine Blaines credibility by showing how it COULD have been rigged. They'd done a VERY similar set-up and done as much as they could to imply this is what Blaine did without actually mentioning his name (if I remember rightly).
I thought that was a pretty low thing to pull... but just shows that he's playa hated, even within his own game.
Aside from the David Blaine stuff you've got Derren Brown going to play Russian Roulette live on Channel 4 on Oct 26th, so you'll all have even more stuff to point your fingers at.

Whatever I've seen this guy do before has been amazing, however this kind of stunt is very much taken from the Blaine school of showmanship. It's a bit of shame to see him adopting this style, but it'll probably be entertaining none-the-less because of the guys patter. It's fun to see him lay bare whoever he focuses his attention on, which no doubt he'll be doing to the person loading the gun. To be honest this guy could have made a killing in almost any profession he's that smart...

I saw this guy live at my school :) our 6th form organized a magic show in aid of NSPCC and loads of top blokes came and performed.. it was incredible :) and we sorta figured out how it was done.. but i forget
