View Full Version : Has ANYONE found a strange book yet?
none here.
though i would have got more loot if certain clans/ppl didnt wait for me to wipe out everything except the boss mob, then go and steal my kill.
damn leechers.
I haven't seen one or got one or even heard of one existing.

Well... with my factionless bug, I can't gr to some pretty important spots where teams are likely to spring up...
and I don't know many PPUs (beyond delphi) so I can't take on any boss mobs (and realistically expect to live or make a profit out of the effort). ( I can say with pride, however, today I just soloed a Small Crystal Cave Swarmer Bat :lol: Those things are boss-level themselves!)
It's pretty hard for anyone to realistically expect to do those special missions anytime soon.
I find it odd you would have to do dozens of 120/120 boss mobs just to get what, a TL 90 rare or something...

Why make such a fucked up way to start a perfectly good idea, of having low rares done via a large missions system, with having to kill 100 boss mobs. Add to that the fact that low rares are used by, get this, mid level characters so they have NO CHANCE IN HELL of getting one of these god damnable books.
Its like how launchers drop level 1 implants (though at least they are now ingame).

No, its my interpretation of the facts. They drop one in a hundred, thus you must camp them out horribly to even stand a chance to get one.
.Cyl0n not ever PE will be running round with the new shotgun. For the main reason that over half the PEs in the game are Pistol PEs. Also looking at the other shoguns in the game I would say that it isn't going to be uber in combat.

Wouldn't be so bad if 1 in 10 dropped it. But from what I've seen, it don't even appear to be in game. (Or rather dropping)

Did anyone of you try it with the APPARTITION?
As i said in another thread, this mob seems to be the only one who drops the strange book at the moment (according to the loot-table).
No i havent either.
and with all these new people turning up at the graves, droners lose their 1 good spot for leveling. it takes ages to get there for some people, just to get killed by some idiot looking for a book.

The Loot Tabel in the other thread is out-dated. There's no point.
sounds like a book to START getting a rare shotgun is worth 15+ million cr.... that's pretty fuckin stupid.

The APPARITION is the mob, its 120/120 and it is only in the caves at tescom :)

Soulcluster < Big Soulcluster < Fenfire < big fen fire < APPARITION
another 2 runs, none so far. a clan is now camping there on saturn.
oh well more belts for me to got and retrieve later :lol:

that would be why i rarely trust ems.ru to it's fullest extent, it's weapons, armor, implants (item stats) are always right, but the resists page is a little (well these days a lot) off... :p

I guess this means the book really isn't in the game.

Well not one book has been found yet, so maybe it's not dropping
at all unless someone can post a screenshot to clarify that.

maybe u guys should stick to one boss mobs cuz mayb he drops 1/40 kills a book and it would be too bad if u would kill him 30 times and then move on to another dungeon i would stick to shaman at gravis really easy kill over and over again..
damage boost > fire apoc > shaman DEAD (x30)
i think that would give u uber xp some techies and a nice rare book :)

As long as it's the weaponry, armor, or implants that are "rare" they bloody well shouldn't be.

RP / Novelty items should be "Rare" - these quasi-rares and the terminator ultra-rare shouldn't be.
Simply put, rares that are not finite are not rare at all, however difficult to acquire items should not prove to be next to ungodly impossible :p
Of course....having seen the power of the Terminator.... I'm pretty glad it's an ultra-rare....heh
