I think the names of the weapons are very cool. There is just something very cool about the name cursed soul, almost like it has its own personality. Holy Catharsis is another cool name. Hell, i even like the word tangent. Ok, so paw of bear isn't exactly the coolest, but ray of last hope, liberator, all very cool names.

You know what a catharsis is in medical terms? It's the process when the flush liquid and sterile coal through your digestive system to empty it of all the crap... literally. (also known as intestinal lavage) :)

Probably works well since people expect to take energy and xray damage usually, fire not so much.
