Patch Notes (http://www.neocron.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=386&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0)
Main menu/Launcher/Options
- Password encryption changed. You'll need to re-enter the password once after this patch.
The encryption for the password stored in your computers registry is now dependent on your hardware configuration. This should keep your password safe even if a malicious program or script tries t0 steal the password from the registry. You *may* need to re-enter the password once after changing your hardware configuration.
- The client.exe file check now prevents the start of Neocron if modified files are detected. A few files are excluded from this check to further allow some client modifications like the NeocronNetwork launcher. The check does not include model, texture and sound files, nor the ini files in the \ini folder.
- New function "Resume" in the main menu. You can now make a quick login with the last used character/server.
- New option in neocron.ini: 'LIMITMODES = "FALSE"' removes the limitation of the fullscreen modes. No liability for display errors in the main menu and R.P.O.S. (In other words, you can use uncommon resolutions like widescreen)
Weapons
- Fixed Raygunpistol reload sound.
- Adjusted Anti Vehicle/Aircraft weapons TLs.
- Added rare weapon descriptions and fixed some other descriptions. (english version only)
- "DOY Raygun Cannon" no longer researchable.
- Fixed ammo consumption on lasercannon, pulse pistols and STORM laser.
- Added rare Kamikaze drone "Revenge".
- Added rare Shotgun "Terminator", will be available through a run instead of the usual rareparts.
- Increased drop quality of "Special Dungeon Items" (STORM Laser, Flameavalanche etc).
Armor
- Added a new type of use restriction: Character class. Used on all Powerarmors.
- Adjusted stats and requirements on all Powerarmors.
- Added Powerarmors for Spies and Private Eyes, will be made available through runs.
Implants
- Adjusted construction brain imps (+3/5/8 CST -> +5/10/15 CST).
- Fixed lvl 1 implant drops.
- Added rare "Machina Gloves" (+5 DEX or INT, +15 CST or RES or IMP or REP or REC, +10 TRA, -100 PC/RC/RCL/MC/HC)
- Smart targeting eyes all give T-C now.
- Increased PPW bonus on Psi Core and Dimension Splitter from 10 to 14 to balance out the APU/PPU hit on damage %.
- Increased research bonus on advanced nerves from 3/5/8 to 5/10/15.
- Fixed "Special Rigger Interface" drop, drops like the other rare imps now.
- Added Kamikaze chips (+ Combat Skills, - Resists).
- Added antigamma bones.
- "Biotech Advanced/Experimental Headbone" no longer researchable.
- "Biotech Chest" and "BioTech Vehicleinterface 2" researchable again.
- Filter Heart 1's -5 CON hit was reduced to the correct -3 intended.
- Crahn Defensiv-PSI-Processor 3's Use restriction corrected to the proper PSI 67.
- Defensive-PSI-Processor's & PSI Attack Chips now give bonuses to the PSI Skill, lvl 1 = +1, lvl 2 = +2, lvl 3 = +3.
Vehicles
- Doubled vehicle weapon damage.
- Increased vehicle resists:
Force: -20% -> 0%
Pierce: 40% -> 60%
Fire: 40% -> 60%
Energy: 50% -> 70%
Other items
- Increased Viarosso Lvl3 app price.
- Fixed/changed some item names and descriptions.
- Books and Datadiscs are no longer sold.
- Added various items for new mobs and events.
- Cavebossmobs rarely drop "Strange Books". These are needed to do the Terminator run.
Misc changes
- Moderately increased INT XP growth for Monks.
- Characters with a SL of -32 or less now gain a bit more SL while completing missions (at least 1 SL per mission).
- Construction and Research missions now have more appropriate tasks and rewards.
Misc Fixes
- Terminal\Forum: Fixed thread sorting.
- Some small terminal fixes, affecting email and faction systems.
- R.P.O.S. quicktips scrollbar fixed, display error (assigned key names) fixed.
- GMs with Faction Counsellor status are now correctly handled as members of their respective faction. All other GMs remain members of CityAdmin. Note: you may have to recreate the Counsellor character to make the change to take effect.
- Faction Channel can be muted now.
- Deactivated "Jump" in the QuickChat mode.
- Fixed animation timing bug for the doors of subway cabs.
- Replaced guards in newbie MC5 to prevent exploit.
World changes
- Fixed maps (object placement etc):
* Chairs in the Outzone (Crahn) clan apartment
* Underground entrance in F_11 Devereaux Fortress
* Bench in the VentureWarp Store Pepper Sector 3
* Faulty objects in sector J 10
* Faulty objects in sector H 08
* Faulty objects in sector F 02
- Added dynamic signs to all outposts: Name of the OP, name of the occupying clan, name of the occupying faction.
- Added Citycom stations in Area MC5 main building, added a few things to make it easier to get around.

Any idea on the ETA of the PowerArmor runs or is that a Callash 'thing' ? If so, Callash, care to comment?

All stuff that fixes real problems, and adds more goodies to boot.

Long time since last patch, but it is really compensated with
alot of new content :P

Vehicles are more viable now with double damage and armor,
it was awesome before now it will be even better. I'm going to
consider speccing my VHC for rhino now.
Rare shotgun will be searched for, and bought.
PE/Spy pa at last.
PPW bonus increae on psi core and DS + INT Exp Increase...great.
Antigamma bones, hope its storebought :confused:
Special rigger interface + riggers dream, i can see droners starting
to get insane combat ranks from these two chip's bonuses.
Glad i got anti vehicles made before they fixed them. I got like 4
five slotters.
Tank PA, melee pa.. interesting for tanks to finally wear pa4.
Awesome patch.
(goes to make more blueprints of exp head bone and other stuff
before things are forever changed)
laughs at Vettero and QD who will need to respec resists for PA
and antigamma bones.

Any more information on how one acquires the PE PA? (ie who do we talk to to initiate the run, is this run available to all factions, etc...) or do we have to find this out for ourselves?

also if they are can u tell us the npc to start of the run to get em?
i assume it wil lbe TT HQ but abviously this aint 100%

What he said, and what about the gama bones? Are those a MOB drop or sold in stores?
Although I suppose searching/exploring is part of the fun, I just want to know if there is some NPC to go searching/exploring for.

Shame I dropped 60+ tech parts on my alts appartment hallway to collect for storage, logged off to log him on to collect them (no room in clan apps) and server was down :P no warning message :(
nothing I hadnt got already, and some I gained via a bug where I removed them from a Cabinet, ID'd them, and they appeared un-ID'd again later that night..... :) justice perhaps.
I think the likelyhood of them being there when I log back on is very slim. Now I gotta adjust my list now, luckily I have them all on a bit of paper, shouldnt take too long....
Anyway, apart from all that patch looks good, still waiting for it to appear on the ftp server.

Anti-Gammas won't have negatives, they'll be like normal bones but less bonuses in trade for x-ray resists.
PE PA will reduce PSI and I think psi power.

Kill a boss like the Chaos Queen and theres a small chance she'll drop an object that will allow you to start the Terminator run.

I think the PE PA still looks the same as planned, (The old spy PA) anyway I don't care what it looks like... if it's got good resists I'll wear it for sure... beats my cardboard box suit heh :D

i wont get to play for at least 12 hours so someone tell me, any idea if changes were made to the tank PA's and if so, pleeeeeeeeeeaassssssseee tell me what ?
it says inthe notes that all PA's have been adjusted.
i think (not sre tho) that u can now wear the 3rd tank PA with no drugs

Well join the HC tank pa club. They need athletics.
But as PE class being best solo-ist ingame currently, adding
pa to them is icing on the cake, also a nice terminator shotgun
to play with and stealth + anti gamma bones. I wouldn't be
complaining about that.

tank pa will be same as monk pa reqs.

Doh! I missed that!
And I have tonnes of BP for all of the crahn research missions allready done.
Althought that is good, there is one of the research missions for crahn that did require a mining tool, some of the other missions required stuff you couldn't research as well, so I guess it is good overall.

2. Gamma bones - can you buy them in the shop, or are they rare drops from wb's

Wasnt trikes and the new Vhc's supposed to be released? or am i mistaken as theres no mention of them in patch notes
basically, if you havnt been on test server, there are many types of glove, ie: CST glove, give a BIG boost to cst, but a even bigger hit to something like......R-C, T-C, P-C, H-C etc, so all your weaponary skills get hit, so u use glove for cst'in, then take it out :) same for int, etc :)

About the Terminator, as u might read the whole patchnote list, Cavebosses will have the possibility to drop a book, that will be needed to start the run to get the rare shotgun called the terminator.
I bet these books will go for nice amounts of warez or cash

New function "Resume" in the main menu. You can now make a quick login with the last used character/server.
Very Handy!, Get back onto other servers much quicker (the default if you keep hitting enter is to login to pluto)

While pluto was offline I decided to make a quick character up on Saturn.
They made a few improvements to MC5 - there are civil advisors who tell you a bit about their class, whether it's a spy, PSI monk, tank or PE.
Add to this some signs to the genrep and a few other places! A good few improvements there! :)

Kinda disapointed at the Monk PA adjustements
PA3 : pierce +10, force+10, enr+55
Holy Spirit Vest : pierce +23, force+16, enr+39
Granted, we get more power out of the PA, but it doesn't provide any real protection.

Well, I heard mc5 was improved, thats good, but id prefer they had imprved mc5 a while ago, then released this patch with pa ready so our ecitment wasnt crushed by a sledge hammer... I dunno why they always do this to us...

Callash is working on putting the runs in now so shouldn't be long....just be a little more patient....
All the items you listed _are_ ingame just the NPC's that you need to talk to are not spawned yet. It will take a few days for all the NPC's to be spawned as far as I understand.

everything is in, gm's jkust need to wander round and set up npc's etc for us to get new stuff.

Dude, ur fallen angel (KOS KOS KOS) which means... someone will probably have to start the run for u (crahn = 50 symp + allied/neutral) so you can suggest the PE PA needs 50+ tangent & allied/neutral.

I Like this option because it does suck when you go AFK to have a smoke or restroom break and come back to a beautiful desktop or a login screen, and now I can brag to my SW:G Friends that already have this option [personal gratification ensues...]:D

- Defensive-PSI-Processor's & PSI Attack Chips now give bonuses to the PSI Skill, lvl 1 = +1, lvl 2 = +2, lvl 3 = +3.
this is Sweetness.. my Tank will benifit from this and so will ALL 3 of my Monks...
Misc changes
- Moderately increased INT XP growth for Monks.

Well last night we and some kims went up to pk MB and had quite the fun time doing until later when me andd my friend blaized are PPU why not for fun but cause his name was changed and he had a PE skin this was not the standerd default PE without the ability to target him his we could target and dmg only thing was differn't name and differn't skin. Later on same thing happened to my PE name change so I zone my friends blaize me lucky no one was killed.

Ok... it is the start of the new week and, like I said in my last post, I was able to 'test' the new patches myself...
First and foremost:
I had to reinstall NC after I patched to 188
Not at all fun, but, oh well [My friends machine really needed the Un-Install/Defrag/Re-Install...] But instead of emailing Helpdesk and bugging the crapola outta these forums I took the knowledge that they[these forums] had bestowed upon me and troubleshooted it myself with the results I was expecting.
Then I log in... :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Everything that I stated before is still: SWEET
Story Tyme:
Although I did run into one problem: Chaos Caves... Myself/a HC Tank/ and a PPU form another faction-friendly Clan...
First the PPU enters the cave, then myself, and after a bit of 'ammo-making'; the tank finally shows up...[kinda 'fasoinably late' i might add]
The one disturbing thing [the only disturbing thing besides the Tank's tardiness] was that the PPU was in a PE skin...o_O 'oh well' I think to myself as we proceed deeper into the cave... Don't get me wrong.. I thought it was kinda cool watching a PE cast Holy Para :D and Holy Ressurection :D but then the tank dies... shortly there after the PPU... dies? :eek:!! And of-course I die too [/me APU]:rolleyes:. I then wait for like 10 Minutes; after no activity - except the chaos mobs swarming my dead body - I decide to GR to Canyon Reloading Point... Bad move on my part; 'cause I end up at my Primary Apt. In Via ?!?o_O?!? After the 40% Impairement I went through.. I purchase my Backpack and then decide to head back out to CRP... The Plus side is that the PPU aslo Implanted for Trade so I was in luck and dire need of a few Imps... :D and after getting Imp'd and Paying my usual tipping [10K - per imp] I ask the PPU ever so politely to grab my 2 QB that had dropped inside the cave... {btw, whole team is outta cave/dead inside cave at this point} the PPU generously goes into the cave and retrieves the whiole teams QB's.
Needless to say - I was amazed... and I had a fun time
Then I bought a Plaza 3rd Level Apt. and started to transfer stuff back and forth 'tween my main and my Tank [2nd Main] and gave my Plaza 2nd Level Apt. to [Tank] Him...
Had a Blast!!! Keep up the excellent work Reakktor!:D
